To-Do List

Here's a list of things we want to do in the wiki, why not help cross some of them off? Also feel free to make suggestions.

  • Create manga and franchise page.
  • Help add images and summaries to episode pages.

Important Pages

When editing the wiki (particularly episode and volume pages) it's helpful to use this section as a reference guide.

Locations
When adding locations, don't forget to add parent locations. For example, when adding Japan to an episode or volume, Earth should also be added. Locations appearing in flashback sequences generally don't count.

Recurring Pages: ?

Objects
Objects should be specific rather than general, like Natsu's Scarf instead of just Scarf or Purgatory Armor instead of Plate Armor. General objects are being removed from the wiki.

Recurring Objects: ?

Concepts

Common: Humans, Flashback, Fan Service,

Specific: None so far

Very interested in the show. Could be a hidden jem for the fall season.

@Sonata: It had better speed up to be a gem.The slow pace by the end of episode 2 makes it kinda boring.I mean the promos made it look nothing like what it is in the 1st two episodes.As it stands now to me its cant make up its mind to be a toned down version of the tick,Or a comedy /slice of life show.The advertisments made it seems like it was gona be a super heroish type of maybe over the top anime.

Gona hang in there for few more episodes .So im really hopeing it turns into something like the preivews showed.

Well this is the season of 3rd episodes hiting it out of the park or striking out.Gota say did not expect to laugh so hard by the end of the 3rd episode.

I tried the first episode. Didn't expect a nudist hiding in your alley pretending to be a hero. I have to try a few episodes to see if I like the anime or not.

Man that Flamenco Girl has the deadliest finishing move. I don't think her version of what makes a "hero" matches with Masayoshi's.

@takashichea: It took a few to get going. acutaly this is probly the slowest starter anime this season.But its got some laughs in it for sure as it goes on.Last one had me laughn.With great staples come great responsibility ... hehe.

@DocHaus: Not sure if her real fav song would be Ac/dc Ballbreaker

or she just likes cracking walnuts.Tho i think problems deeper than that.Note her grin when she does it.

@Marshal Victory:

I watched Tiger and Bunny on Neon Alley, and I thought this show was like Tiger and Bunny, but I can't say it until I get past episode 2. A slower starter series, huh? It reminds me of Robotics;Notes.

Post by Marshal Victory (1,957 posts) See mini bio Level 13

@takashichea: Ya promo material defintly tried to push a tiger & bunny vibe but its not like that.Its slow world an plot building but it gets going good by 4 an up.Its just to slow by half at the start.Then again maybe the gags an jokes are working on me now because of the slow build up to.I was with in a ace of droping the show actualy.Now im glad i didnt.

Post by DocHaus (928 posts) See mini bio Level 18

Not really Tiger & Bunny so much as "Kick-Ass meets Kamen Rider."

Post by Marshal Victory (1,957 posts) See mini bio Level 13

@DocHaus: Mystery Men meets Kamen Rider might fit bit more.Kick-ass has more brutal than Tiger & Bunny.That an Captain Amazing fits the sponsor look Tiger & Bunny got.

Edit : Ack reread that i get what ya mean now .Samurai Flamenco would be more like "Kick-Ass meets Kamen Rider." which fits.Had that all backwards an thought ya ment Tiger& Bunny was like "Kick-Ass meets Kamen Rider."

Episode 7 ruins this series for me. It's a shame they felt the need to take this into shitty anime territory. I was watching the second half thinking a director would yell, "cut," any second.

@Marshal Victory:

I got to episode 7. I thought it was just a slice of life show with some drama, but things turn unreal.

Post by Marshal Victory (1,957 posts) See mini bio Level 13

@sickVisionz: Well it did kinda slowly build up into it.Graceful an other nice words i cant spell would aply.Now it gos full on senti to over the top senti.

@takashichea: ya not seen a slow build up like this in a long time. had me fooled to.Slow shift from slice of life to senti bloody over the top.it gets silly even .. err even more silly .Tho i think this is short lived. the songs are to light hearted for a bloody anime.

@Marshal Victory:

I did seen an anime with slow build up, Robotics;Notes. Things hit the fan during the middle of the anime's run. I wasn't expecting character death and suicide attempts.

Post by Marshal Victory (1,957 posts) See mini bio Level 13

@takashichea: Ya robotic notes was good to.I like the unexpected some times. its tonal shift was good.Where as this one feels like the went from 5 to 11 pretty fast in one episode.

Yes this show is at 11 now.

Nothing built up to this imo. This series was pretty grounded in reality. Nobody had super powers. The heroes were met with, "what's wrong with these people?" "why are they dressed up?" "Are they crazy?" and other realistic responses. It was very grounded in the real world. Now there are mutant gorilla cyborg warriors. Saying it builds up to that would be like saying Breaking Bad presented Walter White as a genius, so it would make sense if in like Season 4 he developed telepathic and telekinetic abilities and the series turned into Akira.
