Got to love Junna's wild imagination

I'm still on episode 6, so I'm behind all of you guys and gals.

I just love how Akiho thought Junna was going to confess to Kaito. I thought she would be jealous, but naw, she doesn't give a damn about Kaito. Subaru's scene with his father was cool. It connects with some of us when parents don't want us to pursue career we enjoy.

Oh yeah, Frau is weird when she thinks Subaru is her stalker. I think she got some kind of tsundere attitude going on.

Episode 7

I love Frau because she's like Akiho who is excited in something else. Akiho teased Kaito being a player when she notices Kaito is hanging out with Junna and Frau.

The Misaki flashbacks are cool when you see how much Misaki changed, but you see how much Akiho is just like her older sister.

Ladies of Robotics;Notes

Just finished episode 11 recently. I haven't been able to get to episode 12 due to school work.

Huh, Kaito and Frau

These past episodes (8-12 or so), we see more of Misaki and Akiho's past, and we learn that Misaki used to have big ambitions until later on. Akiho has taken up Misaki's persona and carry on her work despite Misaki's cold response to her.

Kaito is unlocking more stuff about the Kimijima Reports as he tries to find the cheaters for Frau. The two have spent lot of time together. Speaking of lovebirds, how is Junna and Subaru doing?

In episode 11, we unlock the secrets of Gunvarrel where the footage of the last episode was leaked. It was like a prophecy for an apocalypse. The mystery and the suspense is all boiling down. Misaki and Mizuka know something we don't.

Robotics;Notes Wiki Updates for January - February 2013

My teammate Acura Max and I added these pages:

• Minami Kogori AKA Frau's mother
• Toshiyuki Sawada (he's originally from Steins;Gates). Took me a while to find out who he was because they never stated his name in the anime (up to episode 14) if I recall correctly.
• Monopole
• Kimijima Reports - We started adding reports info, and we just need the Kanji characters and Romaji text.

As for Episode 14

My mind was blown. I didn't expected Frau to kiss Kaito or had feelings for him. I thought the story was going towards Kaito and Akiho.

Just saw the latest episode. So far the plot has been taking alot of dark turns. I've heard from people who read the light novel that these dark plot points are just there for the shock value. I really hope that is not the case in the anime.

I finished Ep. 16 today, and it was pretty dark like you said. I'll write down Mizuka's last words, and I'll start watching episode 17.

Oh, I had a weird thing occurred when I used pop out feature for HULU. The subtitles disappeared at the end where I could get a clean snapshot of the end cards. I'll have to experiment if it does happen. If it does, I can replace all the eye catches that I had to wipe subs clean. You saw some of them have parts missing.

Robotics;Notes Ep. 16 End Card

I watched an episode of this during the Best of 2012 voting. Couldn't get into it. Unlike Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate, it didn't start with something shocking or all that interesting. Both of those slowed down some but that first episode at least hit you with something that was like keep watching to see how this crazy event gets resolved. All I got from this was a slice of life show about building robots. Then it ended with some weirdo chick standing on a rooftop and it gave me chills that it'd ended up goofy like Chaos Head so I dropped it.

Has it evolved to more than Hanasaku Iroha-esque high school club drama yet?

It's start getting interesting when Kaito gets to the bottom of the Kimijima Reports and myths surrounds Gunvarrel which leads to some unexpected consequences around episode 12 and above. I think the series is just setting itself up in the beginning.

If I had to compared Steins;Gates and Robotics;Notes, I compare it to Durarara and Baccano.

Steins;Gates and Baccano reels you in with something cool at the start while Durarara and Robotics;Notes are sleepers where they hit you when you're not expecting it. It's like fishing or a test of patience when you watch Robotics;Notes.

Edit:

I wrote a blog about Kagome Kagome song. I wonder who is the Oni or the bird from the song in the anime series.

I wasn't expecting Mizuka Irei to died. I feel bad for her. Now every time I hear that song, I freak out.

Akiho is one hell of gal despite what has happened: the death of Mizuka, Subaru getting injured, and the whole freaking robot apocalypse with the Gunvarrel's last, hopeless episode.

They sure were subtle about the shipping they did in episode 18. SickVisionz would probably hate the hotel scene.

Good job on finishing Ep. 18's wiki page! I finished Ep. 19's page.

When Akiho and Kaito look at the Queen sized bed, I was like, "are they going to do an Implied Sex Scene?!" No, they didn't do it much to my disappointment. I have this obsession with that wiki page. If you have one, be sure to add it.

On to Robotics;Notes, episode 18 was fun until Misaki shows up. I love how Aki gets everyone to the "sha ching" thing during the Gunvarrel demonstration.

Don't Read this if you haven't watch 19

Episode 19 is a complete different beast. Misaki just thrash all those robots. Boy, that Kagome song is goddamn creepy. We finally find out the truth behind the conspiracies and the Kimijima reports. Though, what is Kou's true objectives.

Episode 20 had the best speech, and it's done by Akiho who told Kou that robots have hearts. Frau always have a way with words, and her loli obsession makes her so amusing.

Hey guys! Acura Max and I did Robotics;Notes Roundtable to wrap the anime up. We had Katmic for the roundtable discussion, but he made a mistake on the time zone calculations. I still included him in the roundtable at the end.

Robotics;Notes had a good ending. Though, my partner, Acura Max, pointed out that it left some questions:

• Why did Subaru's dad hated robots?
• Why did Kou Kimijima turned evil?

All in all, I enjoyed the series and the discussion with you guys.

@takashichea: Thanks for the update. It looks like the live adaptation nailed it on some of the look of some of the characters. I can't say the same for all the characters with white hair. They look like bad cosplay.
