Wiki Section

Main Pages: Manga | Anime | Franchise | Characters

To-Do List

Here's a list of things we want to do in the wiki, why not help cross some of them off? Also feel free to make suggestions.

  • Add characters, episode snapshots, and plot summaries.

Important Pages

When editing the wiki (particularly episode and volume pages) it's helpful to use this section as a reference guide.

Locations
When adding locations, don't forget to add parent locations. For example, when adding Japan to an episode or volume, Earth should also be added. Locations appearing in flashback sequences generally don't count.

Recurring Pages: Earth

Objects
Objects should be specific rather than general, like Natsu's Scarf instead of just Scarf or Purgatory Armor instead of Plate Armor. General objects are being removed from the wiki.

Recurring Objects: None

Concepts

Common: Humans, Simulcast, Manga Iconography, Unreal Hair/Eye Color,

Specific: None

I've seen 2 episodes, and, while it is interesting, there is a bit of "seen it all already" vibe with it, and I feel it can't decide whether it's a deathgame or a save-the-world sort of show. still, the characters are likeable.

Izayoi Sakamaki is a Gary Stu in the series. Asuka Kudou and You Kasukabe had some cool powers. Asuka had the powers to order people to do things while You can talk to animals and use their powers.

@takashichea: Izayoi is not a Gary stu. he is pure badass a a lovable pervert, just like Akatsuki Ousawa from Aesthetica of the Rogue hero

seriously these two are the same in very way, both are OP, both are pervs, both are somewhat arrogant and both can back it up.

@LHWKnight:

The term Gary Stu is subjective and depends on folks' opinions. You may not agree with me. I still believe Akatsuki (Hagure) and Izayoi.

  • The two young men win their battles without much hindrance. Look how Izayoi wins his battles in the anime. Same goes for Akatsuki.
  • Both are perfect characters with little weaknesses. They have no character growth. I find them flat and boring because of these characteristics.

Edit:

I may have got the definitions for Gary Stu wrong, but I'll look it up when I get time.

@takashichea: my advice to you then is to read the novel because they are anything but flat and boring. Akatsuki was a weakling and Izayoi doesn't always win and everyone feared him. they both had to bust their asses to get to where they where in the anime.

this is why looking up the source material should be a requirement.

@LHWKnight:

I can't read the light novels. I make it a rule for myself that I will not read anything that is not legally out in the US. My opinions are for the anime. I never mention the light novel.

this is why looking up the source material should be a requirement.

It's not really a requirement. It's more optional just like the manga. Most fans will rather watch the anime. For anime adaptations of the manga, the manga is more accessible. Fans can make comparisons. For the light novels, they're usually region bound.

@takashichea: That is still not right to judge, especially when they when they drop hence an give reasons for why the character is the way he is, in the first season. Judging a character by what you see without first finding out more is one of the reason why those insult were started in the first place.

You don't understand. It's more of a choice of the fans. Telling a fan to do this is not your choice. It's their choices. Respect their choices. I respect your opinions. Trust me on this. It's up to the fans. For me, I can only watch the anime. I will not read the light novel because it's not legally out. I will not support piracy and fans who resort to piracy. It's my ideals. You have your own ideals. You don't see a lot of fans reading the light novel because most of time, they don't know the anime has a light novel adaptation. In some countries, manga is popular. When you tell them to read the manga to see if it's better than the anime, it's up to them to check it out. You can't call them blind because they only watch the anime or read the manga. It's up to them and what they like or cannot do.

I would like to read the light novel, but it's not out legally.

I'm not insulting the characters. I'm stating my opinions. I can't convince you because we have different perspectives. That's good. A discussion thread is full of folks who have a wide array of different opinions. A good discussion thread promotes that.

Edit:

I feel you're overly sensitive. I hope I was clear with you. I do love the series.

@takashichea: Okay I can agree on that

@LHWKnight:

Sorry for the off-topic talk. If I offend you, let me know. It's tough for me because I can't tell what's connotation I'm giving away. Yeah, I see your points on Akatsuki and Izayoi not being gary stus. It's just the anime messes up your favorite characters. I wish the western companies will publish those light novel series, but it depends on the demographics. Manga and anime are popular in the US, but light novels don't get much exposure not like Japan, where everything dealing with anime and manga are in high demand.

On-topic:

What were your favorite characters?

Mine would be Asuka Kudou. I love her unique powers and her expressions. She's interesting.

Yuu Kasukabe is my favorite character besides Izayoi. She is very quiet usually but she is also very lonely and she takes it upon herself to fight all of her battles alone so as not to cause harm to any of her friends.

also I like her interactions with Izayoi. they rarely talk but they enjoy each others company in silence and she is comfortable enough to even lay on him while he is sitting and reading a book.
