So, not watched anything of this? Anyone think I'd be interested in it?

@Supreme Marvel:

It's hard to recommend this. I know you like harems, but this one is some twisted bleep.

Sure, it's popular, but fans have been raging at it after the true ending to season 2 OVAs like how fans rage at Mass Effect 3's ending.

I say try season 1. If you like, continue to season 2. Do not watch season 2 OVA. Trust me on this.

For the recommendation, it's a creepy premise, but it's an entertaining series. It's all about a brother who wants to help his younger sister to find friends and open up her hobbies. Her hobbies are playing eroge games that centered on brothers making love to little sisters type. It's about "life counseling." If you know what I mean, wink wink. The series started to become a harem in season 2.

The first time I watch it. It was not what I expected. I thought I drop the show after reading the premise. Sure enough, the series reeled me in. I'm not a big slice of life fan, but the interactions, drama, and the comedy is an awesome combo.

I let Daniel take over. He's does a better job than me recommending shows like these. I recall was a fan of this show. He will give a different view on this than me.

@takashichea: Now that you mentioned it. I think I did watched the first few episodes of the first season. The game thing brings something out of my memory. Coming back now. I stopped watching it not long after I started.

Off-topic, but I couldn't post it in the Oreimo Discussion because I hit flood fail. I'll get back to work because I get distracted by Twitter.

So... is that real? Either way it's pretty funny.

@Daniel_Newton:

Couldn't think of a funny caption. Wait, I thought this should be in Japanese. It might be fake.

@LHWKnight:

I tried not to be personal, but I hated Kirino and Kyousuke pairing. The ending was rushed and left a bad taste. Didn't know you were a Oreimo fan.

Post by LHWKnight (2,693 posts) See mini bio Level 12

@takashichea: it really wasn't all that rushed, I mean it was pretty obvious in the early episodes of the second season. also this show has been one amazing rollercoster ride and it was amusing watching everyone's reactions when she said yes.

Although I did support all pairings so I don't share everyone else's opinion.

what annoys me is that they half-assed the ending, I mean is it too much to ask for them to stay true to the novel. they are supposed to get married and find out that they are not really related.

also my ex loved this show and she was team Kirino so imagine how funny that was lmao.

@LHWKnight:

I love the show, but the ending was rushed. I do see your point and every fan has mixed feelings about the show. What about Kyousuke's parents and their say. Was there a point in the Merumeru girl's love confession? To me, it didn't seem natural.

@takashichea: exactly why they should have stayed true to the novel.
