Dragon ball z references for the win. Saru's Mech is named Goku and it was riding the flying Nimbus cloud. lmao
Saru vows to kill Nobu if he should ever so weakness, and Nobu entrusts the power of the wind to him while knowing this. (Manly)
It was cool seeing Hideyoshi's past, and I guess it reflects keep your allies close but your enemies theme to an extent. I still find it strange that Caesar's men did not even attack the forces near his camp while Oda and the gang steal the mech from the island.
I don't think our main characters haven't gone against Da Vinci's cards and their predictions. Everything has happened by fate so far if I'm not wrong. Seems like Da Vinci is enjoying the battle and doesn't seem to hate Caesar at all.
Oh no she did not just except being married off to that douche Caesar.
"if my sacrifice can save everyone on the Oda land i will do it." Don't try to sell me that BS.
Ichihime is supposed to be the forbidden fruit that must never be touched by that unworthy hands of mortal men. (probably phrased that wrong but you get my point.)
Ichihime is a strong willed woman, but at the same time she is just as much a fool as her brother Nobu.
That red thunder bolt was the representation of Mitsuhide's and my fury. the dude is going to start murdering people left and right and you know what, I am going to be rooting for him the entire time.
God this episode irritated me, (all that damn tension) even through I have this feeling that it won't go in Caesers favor in the long run.
This episode gets a 3.5/5, very good episode.
I realized I missed last week and this weeks episode. I only had time to watch last week's. Caesar's group don't have a strong sense of honor and trust among themselves. Caesar back stabs Shingen while one of the knights finishes off Hannibal. I feel bad for Mitsuhide because this episode just made Caesar look good.
No my loli princess is dying.
Her backstory was pretty great.
Jeane finally admitted her feelings but of course Nobu wasn't there to hear
this show is still going strong in my opinion.
When I read this, I thought she had died. I don't mind if Nobunaga is a man whore and takes the two girls. I know that's bad. I can't shake the feeling the next person to die is Mitsuhide.
Damn this anime is freaking insane. I have no idea what's happening anymore. Nobu is now merged with the Dragon and King arther appeared to Caeser as a women, like it is some king of god without a gender.
Saru is back in action with the flying nimbus and a cyber arm and leg.
I have no idea where this is going now but I am ready for anything.
Ah so glad someone else is still watching this. Notice that nobo became Jesus...aka the king of kings from the opening - I really should have seen earlier where that was going - and was Arthur controlling the voices to Joan at the end? One person has surmised that perhaps Arthur is Kenshin. Which would be interesting - I mean we already have crazy quantum mechanics (they really should have had a cat come out of shrodingers box) in this. So now perhaps we get to see what the holy grail is or will Mitsude act like Judas? I also love Da Vinci like yeah this battle will decide the fate of the world - let me sit here and talk about painting....
Show MIGHT be messing with Christianity and Western figures to much for me now in the end but man what a ride!
Well I seem to be the only one still watching this which is sad as it ended very well true to the characters, true to history, and with interesting if somewhat predictable philosophical message. It does do some things that are unexpected and it MAY make a religious idea that is rather sacrilegious not sure (watch the painting at the end closely). Overall above average definitely if not one of the best I have seen, but definitely worth watching.
@zaldar: Nope I still watched it I just have yet to commit because I had a lot of thinking to do and I have concluded that I want this show on blue-ray DVD.
It deserves to be in my collection. I love that ending and I love this series.
I was actually somewhat surprised that they went with Nobu dieing at the end, staying true to the history with that part.
This is a 7.5/10 series for me and I want it now!!
Not so sure it would be one I would buy but I buy truly little anime at this point in my life. Maddoka is the next I think I am going to buy but I haven't yet. What did you think of the way they did the painting at the end? When we saw it hanging in the museum at the end of the credits what painting was it? Was nobu in the position of Christ if so then is it safe to assume that is supposed to represent the "real" painting and what then should we make of the comment about Nobo being Judas....in the "correct" painting by da vinci?
