Pilot was pretty good,
It was the definition of anime twists. Special school an end up with a ghost in the room he rents. Quirky fits as well. Animation was good ,Illustration style was good an clean. This holds some promise with its comedy parts an darker back story. An its sheer unique twists seem to have hooked me enuff to watch it this season.
Looks like its mystery comedy with quirky oddness you only see in anime. An that could be a great thing.
Had a Kore wa Zombie Desu ka feeling to me when you have a murder mystery and the murderer hasn't been found. The main character is pretty perverted. I'm not liking him much until later in the episode when you find out he's doing this for Nanana's sake, making her happy. The premise is pretty attractive. I'm hooked on the show.
2nd episode was good.
More character progress. This has that lite fun tho some perverted stuff feel to it. Main character has a fetish for glasses an maids.Tho he does draw the line at cross dressing maids tho. Some use of cgi was obvious but did not hurt the animation of the show badly.
2nd episode was better than 1st one. Made me like the main character better. He was too perverted in the first episode. Found out he likes maids. The thing with traps in anime is that they don't have Adam's Apple, and the VA is always an actress. You can't really tell.
Really! Really quoting the white rabbit here I'm late.
But oddly enuff one of the sites I watch anime on seems to have dropped this show. Like the entry for it an everything. Then I found it again with the alt title. Kinda odd that.
Any who on with the late comments.
5 best line "Want to see whats in the case? " umm umm no master that... aaHH! " an now your accomplice" yes I laughed out loud. Then started coughing .
One of the things i like about the series is its light hearted use of music. Sets tone very well. An the animation is good along with its clean illustration style.
6 threw me on who did what an why . Tho pudding seems to be the important thing at the end?
7 had star driver on the tv. An things were bit clearer on what went on in 6. Would love to get a list later on of all the anime an video games she was playing.
Introduced to a new character who's the biggest jerk in the series. Every character hates the guy. He sounds like Tomokazu Sugita. Got some touching moments between Nanana and Jyugo. It was amusing to see the landlady use drunken martial art style. If she exerts herself, she gets more drunk.
@takashichea: Weird had to reload the page twice before i could reply to ya. Any who The Man in Black sure does rub ya the wrong way right off don't he? Kinda type a hole kinda guy who has it all figured out an every one else is less than him. That type of character in rl either goes far or goes no where. Figure he will get a beating from the main character at some point. Cause hes way more than he seems to an been trained his whole life.
So ya 8 added a much needed villain other than the club president.
9 was the set up mostly for the next episode. Still good an a nice fight scene.
10 was good an had me thinking a bit about the overall plot. First I thought I really want a list of all the video games Nanana is playing. Then I thought how video game like the comparisons they do when shes playing an what the club is doing. An then thought about how silly James Bond is villain it would be to set up all those traps an keep it quiet. So the conclusion that came up with was the plot is what if the video game was real but not the trope of trapped in a video game. Apply the rules but not be trapped in the world so to speak.
Also it would be a waste the series did not become a video game series.
The ending was not bad. It ended on a major cliffhanger. While we won't get to see Nanana's killer, we get to see goals being reaffirmed. The anime is a bit short.
The light novel has 7 volumes and it's ongoing. Haven't heard announcements for this show. It's likely they will get a second season if fans' demand are high and sales are doing well. I know Chaika got an announcement for another season in the fall.
