So am I on a few characters, but Episode 7 makes things more clearly now. It was also fun.

@phantomrant: @takashichea: @Bigheart711: 7 kinda opens up some paths for those of us that are lost. The monster part at the end an some things that happens during the episode might help ya on the way.

8 clears even more up. Shows good , very artistic modern illustration backgrounds are good. But it suffers from flashback-itus but thats the thing that makes the mystery of how things came to be work, so for me it works well enuff.

Of all the back stories, I liked the digital girl's story the most. Episode 7 and 8 made things more clearer, definitely.

I updated the franchise page, apparently the project started with a Light Novel series paired with some catchy Vocaloid-ish songs and the plot kinda took off from there. The story behind episode 4 came from the first (and most popular) single off the album, and episode 5 came from a prequel story in the second LN. Might explain all the disjointed narrative.

@DocHaus:

Well, I was mistaken. I thought it was an original anime series. Thanks for fixing it. I'll fix the OP and changed it to light novel adaptation.

@DocHaus: Hmm that explain why 9 opened up with a musical like scene. Still 9 reveals more about the story than the other parts but the disjointed episodes still over arc. Thus it still good stuff to me.

I've only seen episode 1. I really enjoyed it. The look, tone, and dialog reminded me a ton of Monogatari. The first guy might as well as be Araragi and I get the feeling people are going to be popping into his life with problems that he feels compelled to solve for them. To a degree that it lessened my enjoyment. Part of me thought this was an original work created by Shaft seeing that Monogatari prints money for them like clockwork but is coming to an end and them basically cloning all of the core elements into an original series that they can market like, "If you like Monogatari than you'll love..." (like those fake perfumes and colognes) in hopes that this would be something they could essentially make forever and keep all the money for themselves. Apparently it's based off of a manga though so part of that was wrong, but man, this really does feel like a Fairy Tail level no qualms about it knock off of another series.

Anyways, it was enjoyable. Shaft is really hit, miss, or meh to me with basically everything other than Paniponi Dash and Monogatari being in the miss or meh category but this seems like one I'll enjoy.

The girl with the scarf's story didn't get to me. It's the computer girl's story that kept me interested and even watching the show. I thought she died, but her body was being used when they revealed it at the end.

10 did more of the flash back then present time stuff. Enjoying the show but not sure where its going at such a snails pace now.

Post by Marshal Victory (1,935 posts) See mini bio Level 13

11 um when did one regain her body, the one in the computer?

Started this episode thinking I missed a few episodes. I got how he made it to the sister who is supposed to be dead . An the color of heroes is red. But man this has gotten tangled.

@Marshal Victory:

They skipped over many things, leaving viewers more lost. I feel they're rushing this series a bit.

12 ends the season. An I am more confused. Show felt like a abstract art project at times than having a plot. Design wise its above average but story has knots in its tail. So hmm.

Finished the series. While the entire tale was confusing to piece up, it was fun. My favorite character of the show ended up being Mary with my worst character of the show ended up being Momo (she was abusive and annoying to the point of wanting her shot in the head and killed).

Who was Momo again? I don't remember the character's names in Mekaku City. It was a fun show to watch. I would watch it again to understand it better, but it's too much of a mess.

@takashichea: The pop idol of the group. Due to her abusing Hibiya (The little guy from the earlier episodes), I ended up hating her to that point. Mary ended up being the most interesting to me due to her origin.
