@takashichea: I agree the kittens episode was fairly touching for this gene. 11 was not bad either but it really reminded me of some older Archie comics in some ways. That aside unless 12 sucks really badly I think the series holds a firm slightly better than average by ever so slightly.

@Marshal Victory:

Oh yeah, I forgot I was behind in the anime. I think I got to the cosplay episode. Yup, the summer season is almost over.

Finally caught up with the series.

Love the girl band thing even though it's a cliche thing in slice of life, school themed anime series. Rurumo's voice didn't match her singing voice. Not all VAs are comfortable singing. The hot spring episode gave me a question. Why do they do mixed baths and structure it that way.

Noticed the Yowamushi Pedal reference. The author of Yowamushi Pedal also did Rurumo.

Episode 11 was endearing to me. Almost top the cat episode.

12 was a rather nice end to the series. It went from henti guy to him becoming more than he was. An watching this I think this is almost a anti magic girl themed show. Show had a ruff start to an did not seem to find its way for a bit. But its one of those shows you can not just think the 1st 3 epsidoes are what the rest of the season is about.

For all the above reasons an a solid playful animation style ( J.C.Staff ) it makes it onto my average an above list. Sure there are some episodes that actually fall bellow average but over all its above an ended on a nice note with many touching moments.

Finished the series.

@Marshal Victory:

Do you think this series had dark undertone under all the innocent and ecchi moments? The clock ticking was very foreshadowing. To complete Rurumo's training, he have to used his life, sacrificing it. Plus, their romance can't last forever. He's a human while she's a witch who lived hundreds of years.

I feel it was cheerful ending but with a bittersweet aftertaste.

@takashichea: Yes its got some darker moments an themes that are not center stage. But to me it seems about him growing out of his ecchi stage.

@Marshal Victory:

He did become more mature and found someone he love. Though, I don't think he grow past his perverse habits. I'll check out the manga one day to see this series in full light.

@takashichea: Decades ago when I was in high school um 1989ish used to have a saying some found funny. I might be a young pervert but I hope to grow old enuff to be a dirty old man. Way I see it perception an opinion defines what people see as perverse. In some parts of the world I pointed out music is perversion.

He was way over enthusiastic in his um hobbies so to speak. Then again part of growing up is learning to turn down the volume some times as well.

@Marshal Victory:

Well, all men have some of perverted side in them. It's our basic primal urges and how we are conditioned in society today. I shouldn't doubt Kota. He has the potential to be faithful to Rurumo.
