@takashichea: Another thing cough my eye. Aladdin said to Matal that he is not suited to be King. That can mean that Aladdin is still searching for his King, and Alibaba is not worthy of that title anymore.

I would like that outcome, since I'm not that big fan of Alibaba.

@bigz007:

I can't remember the exact saying that Aladdin said to Alibaba regarding his choice of king candidates. When Amon, Paimon, and the others ask or remind him of a Magi's role in picking a king, Aladdin never explicitly said he chose Alibaba. He does support Alibaba because of their trust. I know Aladdin is wary of Sinbad when Sinbad ask Aladdin to be the Magi representative for Sindria, Aladdin decline. Aladdin is pretty sharp.

@takashichea: Well, it is to be expected that Alibaba will be his King. Alibaba is a part of the main trio. He just need to prove himself.

I like to post my wiki work sometimes, just to promote the wiki. Yeah, I should have known Magi loves doing this stuff.

Censorship

  • In the manga, the magicians are slaughtered by Myron and the others. Their heads are often cut off. Compared to the anime, the magicians are shown being pushed off.
  • Lo'lo chokes one magician to death in the manga. In the anime, he crushes the magician's head off-screen.
  • When Myers is cut, she bleeds more in the manga version.

@takashichea: They probly downed the vilolence for where they hoped it would be time slow wise for the anime. Heard of other anime from manga geting toned dowen to. Tho I would say to those who do this they should look at the sucess of Attack on Titian. But im sure its a voice upon deaf ears.

May look at getn the manga after seeing the difrence.

20 was pretty good . Tho kinda figured once we got the " gee you better stop or bad things will happen " type speech an they agree to stop ,Here comes the other empire.

Not much happened, I guess the pacing is slowing down a bit. I was hoping to see Mu in action.

Not much action. Got some chibi scenes with Alibaba and Aladdin and a nice touching scene between Scheherazade and Titus. Mu looked cool, but it only last for 1 minute.

Mogamett has finally snapped, he then releases the dark Ruhk and the dark Djinn are created. We got to see Kouha fight the dark Djinn and he used his djinn euip but still would have lost had Alibaba not zoomed in taking out the Djinn in a flash, then once Alibaba was about to use extreme magic, Kouen Ren entered the battle.

This episode gets a 4/5

@LHWKnight: episode 21 secret word title should have been " extreem magic.. nipples!" or something like that. Aliababa is now a punch line. Just when ya thought he mihgt be cool some one ruins it.

@Marshal Victory: Aw don't worry we still have until the end of the war

Post by Marshal Victory (2,563 posts) See mini bio Level 13

@LHWKnight: Yeah kinda figure he will get some shining spot light for all the rugs that have been pulled out from under him. Its just a character that could have evolved an matured instead of becoming the punch line. Which is a good thing to . Magi seems to be less predictable than most shonen.

@Marshal Victory: Yeah, which is a good thing.

Finished watching the episode and finished the episode summary, too. I thought Kouha's Djinn Equip color scheme would be red and black while Alibaba's Full-body Djinn Equip would be red and yellow.

It was cool seeing Kouha's story, and how his view clash with his older brother, Kouen, and Hakuryuu's.

Is it just me or the animation was a bit low this episode? Other than that, everything was amazing.

@bigz007:

When I was taking screenshots, I notice it was hard for me to take decent shots of Kouha's Djinn Equip. I thought my vid had bad res, but I didn't notice the animation was off.

\@Marshal Victory:

You and your genie nudity issues. Yeah, I wish I had Neon Alley subscription for a little longer. I was curious if Viz Media censors Paimon's breasts. I think it was South Korea that did the big censorship logo.

@takashichea: Not so much a issue but it was more than the other time. Just find it amusing to this show does not raise the "omg fan service " flags for people to wave to. Tho saying that i may have given them ideas.. doh!

22 so the magistrate see the light an excrement hits the rotary air device even more. Tho at one part i do not see how or why Alababa was humbled or hmilated with what the other said. Even Aladin seems kinda like what what here.

Magi has some wicked music towards the end of the episode. Alibaba went to some extent to earn Kouen's trust by telling him that I saved your little brother's butt. He had some guts to say that while revealing his Balbadd blood.

@Marshal Victory: @bigz007: @LHWKnight:

I found some news before I logged off.

Tomokazu Sugita will reprise his role as Dragul (Drakon), and Akira Ishida will also return as Yunan. Joining the cast are Katsuyuki Konishi (Silver Spoon, Kill la Kill, Hetalia) as Badr, Yōko Hikasa (Nobunaga The Fool, Infinite Stratos 2, High School DxD) as Esra, and Ai Kayano (Valvrave the Liberator, anohana, Oreshura) as Serendine. Daisuke Ono will return to play the young Sinbad.

Yoshikazu Miyao (Inazuma Eleven, S.A) will direct the anime, and Taku Kishimoto (Bunny Drop, Silver Spoon) will handle the script. Souichirou Sako ( Go! Go! 575) will design the characters, and Tomohiro Ōkubo will compose the music. Lay-duce (Go! Go! 575) is producing the animation.

This adaptation of Shinobu Ohtaka and Yoshifumi Ōtera's manga will come with the special edition of the third compiled volume, which will ship in Japan on May 16.

A 70-page "prototype" of the manga with art by Ōtera was bundled with the first Blu-ray Disc of the anime in 2012. The manga's prologue also ran in Weekly Shonen Sunday later that year. After beginning a full serialization in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, it moved to the publisher's web comic site "Ura Sunday" last year.

Even though I'm excited, I'm a bit concerned because the manga version isn't finished from what I heard.

@takashichea:Yo that's going to be awesome, but I am as well. I have read the manga for sinbad's side story but I am reading the magi manga.
