@takashichea: 16 has more filler animation only way i can describe it.Also at this point it reminds me of oddly enfnuff Diablo 3 .

Also 17 tho animation was bit better had some parts ill be surprised if some will not like.Overall show sturned corner an good fun.

@Marshal Victory:

17 is a bit rushed, but I like how they added an extra scene where Kassim killed his father for thinking about making Mariam going into prostitution. Though, I feel the manga had more tragic tone than the anime.

I can't believe they finish the arc. On ANN, they listed 25 episodes. I wonder if it's going to get another season or not because the next arc might be much longer that Balbadd. I haven't read further into the manga because I keep pace with the anime.

Edit:

Sorry for the late reply. I'll be ready.

@takashichea: First i hope it wil get another season.An if it does it will be on the way to get into that void Bleech left.

Second ya i feel they are makeing things a bit to bright to an i havent read the manga . It just felt a step short so to speek.Kinda think their walking that censor line to or even time slot line of whats aceptable for its time slot.its still very watchable.Just a touch "off" than what it feels like it should be .

Third the rushed parts means filer animation an that could be for good reason.Not just the were behind or people got sick but the order for the show increased.Thing is this alternate telling could have legs out side of its normal asia market.

look whoes number 3 ! An thats dvd sales .Maybe just maybe the right people will see how to handle this .Tho i dont see it being aired in the US .The mix of cute chipmonk smiles here an there with bloody combat an slavery just would be to much for the network overloards.Tho i could see it on adult swim.

It's confirmed, guys. After much fiery debate, concept art has officially proved that Morgiana is not wearing panties during the series.

@Acura_Max:

I never did question that about Morgiana nor have I heard about this "heated debate." I thought she wear a loincloth or something.

@takashichea: Well, it was a heated debate somewhere in the internet; we live in a strange world after all. It was probably the same people who debated whether Wonder Women should wear pants.

Magi is so damn random
Magi is so damn random

All right, let's do this. I needed a break from the wiki.

In recent episodes, we meet Hakuryuu and Kougyoku. Episode 19 is somewhat enjoyable, but I felt it was unnecessary to have episode center on Kougyoku and Koubun's problems. At least, we get to see some of Sinbad's back story and his reputation with women.

Episode 20 and 21 is all about venturing to Zagan's Dungeon after Ithnan inflicts a curse on Alibaba and Sinbad. I never expected Hakuryuu to bawl like a cry baby. I bet Tom Pinchuk would hate the chibi scene in episode 21 for sure. I thought Hakuryuu was cool until this moment. I remember these guys are young teenagers. We all have our moments.

Edit: Found some GIFs

@Marshal Victory:

Who is your favorite character in Magi?

Post by katmic (306 posts) See mini bio Level 10

It's a toss between Aladin and Alibaba. Aladin is very fan and simplistic, makes it easy to want to be him, someone that just simply enjoys life and adventure and his quirky perverted side, kind of like luffy. alibaba has had quite a lot of character development in such a short period of time that at first i thought it was a problem but i am now warming up to it. he seems like a more weighty character and he adds a sense of seriousness to the series.

@Destinyheroknight:

Oh cool! I'm going to buy that manga. Welcome to the Magi community! I bet you're more into the manga than the anime.

@OkumuraTrain:

I do see some romantic implications between them.

@Destinyheroknight:

When you're in the chapters 86 - 111, there are going to be some drastic changes between anime and manga's storyline.

However, I thought the anime was going to end, but a news at ANN states that a sequel will air in the fall. It's pretty shocking given the changes that A-1 Pictures did.

Just wanted to let you know the anime is going to have a sequel next fall. Please see link above.

In case you didn't know this. Here is the cast for Magi season 2.

  • Scheherazade - Maaya Sakamoto
  • Toto - Kana Asumi
  • Myron Alexius - Ayahi Takagaki
  • Rohroh - Kishō Taniyama
  • Mu Alexius - Mamoru Miyano
  • Titus Alexius - Yoshitsugu Matsuoka
  • Sphintus Carmen - Ryota Ohsaka
  • Myers - Kikuko Inoue
  • Matal Mogamett - Cho
  • Ren Kouha - Tetsuya Kakihara
  • Ren Koumei - Hino Satoshi

Being a Fairy Tail fan, I was surprised that Natsu is here. I don't know Ren since I have not read the manga past the anime. I have restrained myself a lot. There is a lot of red heads in Magi. For a minute, I thought there was a lot of Fanalis. Titus is voiced by Kirito (Sword Art Online)'s VA. I'm interested in seeing what kind of person is Titus. Uta Pri and Free's Mamoru Miyano voices a dashing young Fanalis. I swear he will beat Sinbad in the hottest guy poll in Magi.
