Pilot was not bad.

!st episode felt.. lacking something. Drama was ok enuff . Just it lacked something. Maybe the darkness part made it feel bland to me.

2nd episode was pretty interesting ,

Show now reminds me of Betterman with its monsters vs mechs an dark psychological sub gene. Which is nothing new with mech anime but this really feels similar to Betterman in tone . If you like this show so far I would highly recommend Betterman as well.

Strange, I thought this got a simulcast, but I look it up, it's Daisuki which streams a month after the air date.

@takashichea: Hmm thought it was suposed to as well. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/press-release/2014-04-21/daisuki.net-to-simulcast-m3-that-dark-metal-worldwide

Looks like we was right. wonder why they are so late? The ahem sites I am watching it on are up to 3 now so their late to? Since other series are up to 5 or so.

3rd one was bit boring for me. Psychological drama type series seem to at times get a bit slow any way. Or maybe its the modern art style for the abominations. Or maybe it was that I could see where it was going fairly easy. If the next one is as boring as this one for me, I am dropping this.

Problems I have with the series so far...

No connection to the characters. None seem enjoyable to watch. Or the ones that might be die an you can see their red shirts a mile away.

CGI sticks out vs the regular animation style. Just because they use alot of dark still does not hide that.

Betterman at this episode count already had my interest. This one is losing it after being really interesting. Predictability + Psychological Drama = boring for me.

The hooks in the plot are just enuff to make me want to see one more episode. But if it was not for such a lean season probably would have dropped this at 3.An thats not good by any measure.

4 an done for me. Or done for now at least.

Almost fell asleep watching this episode. I want to like this but thats not acurate for what it actually is. It reminds me of Betterman but its not near as good as Betterman was for me. It went creepy at the end of 4 an not in the normal creepy way. So there may be 2 characters i could like but this far in its hard to justify the time investment for 2 characters one could like.

This type of show pays of either early an build or pays of later for the time invested. If it does neither then its a waste of time. Tho Mondays are pretty thin for me anime wise this should not put me to sleep. May come back later one an try another run at this but for right now where the show is at for me is good animation heavy use of dark colors to hid cgi an fairly week plot an world build for my tastes atm.
