The voice actor of Kosuke Sotomura, Kazutomi Yamamoto, also sings the ED theme song "CLICK YOUR HEART!!" and it will be released as his solo debut single. The OP theme song "LΦVEST" is performed by a two-member unit SCREEN mode and the CD single hits Japanese stores on July 23.
No worries, thanks. I was about to do a blog on this show, just recapping it. I ran out of time.
Don't read this if you have caught up with the recent episode.
My favorite character would probably be the manager since he went to great lengths to help Izumi. He has a tracker in Izumi's bag and then was able to spy on Izumi and Ryuma's conversation from the car. That was really special. There was that really awkward moment where Ryuma loses himself and attack Izumi. I thought there was going to be an implied sex scene. Izumi's brother stopped him.
Ryuma really did change fast. I guess he couldn't get over the love he had for the girl ten years ago. Shougo and Manager - I bet something happened to them in the past. The manager had that conversation with Izumi about birds and the bees except with two guys. I wonder where the manager receive his experience from.
Shougo and Manager - I bet something happened to them in the past.
Oh definitely. Remember when Shougo comes to Izumi's shooting to talk him into getting out his wardrobe and then he tells Rei "You should reward me if I succeed", and Rei blushes. Guess he gave him some type of 'rewards' before...
In summary: November 22, 2014 (Date that Limited Edition Manga Vol. 5 will ship with the anime DVD)
Kadokawa began streaming a 15-second television commercial for the original video anime (OVA) adaptation of Taishi Zaou and Eiki Eiki's Love Stage!! boys-love manga on Tuesday. The video features SCREEN mode's song "LΦVEST" that serves as the opening theme for the manga's television anime.
Cast members from the television anime including Tsubasa Yonaga (Izumi), Takuya Eguchi (Ryōma), DAIGO (Shōgo), Daisuke Hirakawa (Rei), and Ryohei Kimura (Takahiro) are returning in the OVA. The limited edition of the manga's fifth compiled volume will bundle the anime DVD and ship on November 22. The bundle will retail at 4,298 yen (about US$42), and Kadokawa is accepting preorders until September 19.
J.C. Staff opened the official Love Stage!! anime website in January to announce the television anime adaptation. Kenichi Kasai (Major, Bakuman, Nodame Cantabile) is directing the series at J.C. Staff. Michiko Yokote (xxxHOLiC, Squid Girl) is working on the series composition while Yoko Ito (key animator for Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, Turn A Gundam) is in charge of character design.
Eiki Eiki and Taishi Zaou's original manga revolves around Izumi Sena, a boy born into a family of ultra-famous entertainers. However, he is the only member of the family who is not in the entertainment industry, and he is a super otaku college student, too. He has been striving hard to become a manga creator, but he ends up starring in a television commercial. He eventually cross paths again with the very famous actor Ryūma, who becomes aware of his attraction towards Izumi.
@takashichea: It was a nice episode, but too much Lala-Lulu for my taste. It's kind of funny, as much as I was looking forward to this week's episodes of Free! and Love Stage, and even DMMd (although with low expectations), I must admit I enjoyed Gekkan Shoujo's latest episode the most.
@takashichea: I haven't watched anything in the magical girl genre so far. It doesn't seem that appealing to me, but I can't say that I would never give it a try.
I'm definitely overdosing on anime right now, as I've managed to squeeze in Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun as well!
