Woo hoo, it seems like Kirupika might be coming back into the series! It's been too long without him. Also, I was glad to see Leorio punch the shit out of Ging. That dude is a total scumbag. He abandoned his family to seemingly make/play video games and dick around.

Glad to be back to the thread again :)

First we need to ask the question, what will his role be ?

Kirupika has been known to follow the rules, so he may chose to look after the elections rather then

seeing Gon, IF he is chosen.

As for Ging, I don't think he is a scumbag, I see where he is coming from, he is trying to teach Gon to be though.

And he has a point, Gon didn't ask for Ging, he wants to find him by himself.

Remember in the Greed Island arc when he had the chance to know where he is and Gon refused ?

The only one who understands him is Gon.

I think pariston is plotting something here.

He wants to be elected but he wants to be by the people's will not his.

By the way, what do you guys think will happen to Kite ?

@Alpha_Watcher_3000: I think it's insane to spin being a deadbeat dad as trying to teach your child to be tough.

Post by Alpha_Watcher_3000 (101 posts) See mini bio Level 9

Who said that Ging was ever sane ?

the zodycks know that he is troublesome.

Gon's aunt know he is troublesome.

And when your aunt is saying that your father is troublesome that means that

he is clearly not all there.

@Alpha_Watcher_3000: I'm saying you are insane for suggesting the Gin being a deadbeat dad is ok because he was just trying to toughen up his son.

Post by Alpha_Watcher_3000 (101 posts) See mini bio Level 9

Its just my opinion.

I agree with you that there is something wrong with him, but I think that he has a reason for his insanity.

Do you remember when the master of houkto shin ken threw a young Raoh and Toki to the river, just to see who is

worthy to the successor for the hokuto shin ken style ?

Yes, Raoh turned out to be somewhat of a power freak, but that how he was.

Toki turned out to be a wise man.

My point is that behind every action there is a reason.

I am not sure what Ging's reasons for his actions, but I'm guessing that its to toughen up Gon.

Nah, Ging is just a selfish dick who only cares about his own amusement. Everyone who has any experience with him can barely stand him, except for a rare few like Kite.

Because he understands him.

Yes Ging might be a little bit selfish, but in a childish kind of way.

Episode 141 was pretty good. The dual story of the election an the race to save Gon is done pretty well. Killia gets a little help an does not know it.

Speaking of insane.. Killia's older brother fits that bill. Gon's dad may be playing the heel for a reason to.

142 was great. Time just flew by in the episode. The "bike" part made me cringe tho.

I felt upset that Gotoh died.

He was the best butler.

@Alpha_Watcher_3000: yeah I liked him to. Not sure if that whole fight was a play on the old saying " a fool an his money are soon parted" or not. Kept thinking that when the fight started. Variant of that is " a fool an his life are soon parted" but I have known far to many old fools to believe that one.

But I have to wonder, whats Kurapeka's role in all this ?

they hinted his return, and it been 3 or 4 episodes.

is he with the elections or with protecting Killua ?

@Alpha_Watcher_3000: Considering he would not answer the phone gotta wonder that to.

The anime is going to end with episode 148. Not surprising, as that will mark the end of the Election arc (and I hope they end on chapter 339, because it's perfect), and the new arc in the manga is still in the very early stages, since the most recent hiatus recently ended.

I heard this anime series is going to end soon. How often are its hiatus?

It differs all time time on how long Togashi teases chapters and how long of a hiatus he takes. The most recent one was bad. 27 months of hiatus. In the last 5 years, over 3 years of combined time were on break. That was painful for someone like me who has been with it for more than 5 years now let alone older fans.

143 was good an full of surprises. But now knowing when the series will end or hiatus puts the clock for front for me :/
