Geez colors are way off.Watching the 2nd episode i had to window out an double check to see if colors were going bad on my monitor. An when they use their powers its the 60s triping 3d effect.Story on the second epside was bit better but it still feels like its depth scared of the bold colors.
Third episode felt off on color at times again.Story was fairly predictable to. One thing about anime is its unpredictable. Thus is a show gets fairly predictable this quick its not a good sign. Still gona watch the 4th but losing faith the show will improve now. Its almost like its missing a quality polish pass other shows get.
4th episode was much better story wise. Tho the colors are weirdly off. Not sure why this style if used maybe the video game did as well?
I watched the first 2 episodes. I agree with the animation during the headphones guy's Minimum scene. Part of this show reminds me of Case Closed and Wizards Barrister since you have a main case and an episode case that builds up. The first episode is a bad impression of the series. They should have went with 2nd episode. I was wrong to based my impressions on just screenshots. After watching the 1st episode which I thought it was dark, it turns out the rich boy's father has love affairs with college women and a porn stash.
@takashichea: Yeah its got a bit of the smaller story mixed with the over arching plot thing going for it. Not sure if playing the game its based on would help. But its got some problems in pace an world build. At 5 its trying to iron out some of it but feels still rushed.
I would say its barely holding average at times. Some times its so much like Getbackers its not funny. An other times its just like its not fleshed out from its video game origins. Its worth looking at to see how well it improves. It has alot over the 5 episodes. But the colors are so weird at times its gota be on purpose.
Bump for Marshal. I had watched one more episode the last 2 weeks. The villain remind me of Shōgo Makishima from Psycho Pass because he is doing this horrible thing to stop inequality and to get everyone on the same playing field.
10 was good but the illustration quality changed. Well more style than quality.
@takashichea: Didnt see what you saw between the two shows at 1st . But ya you have a villian trying to change socity as he sees fits. But this show is more akin to old xmen story lines of race hatred than the slick political views in Psyco Pass.
Sure you have murder as a catalyst but thats as old story trope as well Cain and Able. Really this story has more comic book ( well actualy a video game ) roots than not. An just like a monthly comic the quality is rollercoaster-ish. More ya watch I think the less it will look like any thing Psycho Pass..Which by the way i got my collectors editon in today! so im a happy camper atm.
Yeah, my views might change when I catch up to you. They both got white hair, and they are bent on changing things. For Shogo, he wanted society to be on equal playing fields because Sibyl chose the ones whose psycho pass were perfect. Here in Hamatora, the guys with Minimums get more opportunities.
11 went full WTF mode. An it was good. Morels new look is closer to the color scheme of Psyco Pass limited editon box art. Greens an dark greys an white . Dont think that was intentional but the show has some similarities for sure. Tho Psyco Pass could be argued about gioverment an peoples lack of freedom. This seems more about society an how people treat each other week vs strong.
Morels tho is not the same character anti hero we had in Psyco Pass tho. Hes full on villian with shades of insanity.
12 was not bad over all I think. But the battle was in 80s psyco colors an anoying. Some of the animaiton an colors on this is not to my taste at all. At times it feels like its trying to be Hotlne Miami the anime but then its a video game already in the Miami Vice colors i think.
For those who dont know Hotline Miami ...
The colors spectrum should look famailr.
