It shows that love doesn't make sense. People are irrational with their feelings. Koko was out of the blue. Linda and Banri finally let out of their pain that they had bottled up.

This is the first romance series I watch that has so much drama. I know Supreme Marvel and the others dropped it from the beginning because it was slow and boring. For the later phase, it gets saturated with a lot of drama. I still watch this series to the end,

Oh god it happened, he lost his memories again and left everyone behind, one more episode left, please don't destroy whatever little hope I have left for a happy ending.

episode 23

kinda going places really didnt see it going. Its not gona be a happy happy thing but a soap opera about emotions an events it seems.

@phantomrant: Golden time has one more episode .It is slated for 24 epsiodes. Tho probably should have ended it with 23 an the gut punch it was.

@phantomrant: I agree with you man

@Marshal Victory: and that kind of ending would be trolling and I would have been pissed off as all hell.

@LHWKnight: I duno with the soap opera that it is atm or rather the dominos its placed upon it self its just gona make it worse . Next epsidoe is him regaining his memories then relearning his friends. So it get a happy ish ending but not the one that would have felt right I think. Definatly not what i thought it would be as a series. But these last few sucker punchs felt desperate story telling wise.

@LHWKnight: @Marshal Victory:

I think Banri has a mental condition, probably multiple personality disorder or schizophrenia. This amnesia doesn't really make sense. I'm glad to watch this series.

@phantomrant:

D Frag ended last week, I think. Haven't seen it yet. So only Strike the Blood and Golden time for us.

I am happy with this ending Koko x Banri FTW, also Linda x Yana apparently (That little blush at the end), (feel sorry for Oka) Oka x Sato (Come on, they are forever alone).

This was a very emotion series and it will be right up there with clannad, clannad after story and Shuffle in my top romance animes.

24 was a good wrap up for the series. it makes my list of average an above. J.C Staff stuff seems to almost always hit a good spot for me an realy they did a fine job on animation. Story wise it became more of a soap opera than i like mostly but it was good over all.

@LHWKnight: @Marshal Victory:

It's weird, they threw Oka over the side. In the ending, Linda was blushing and look away from Yana, indicating there is a chance between those two. I think 2D kun and Oka might have a chance. Speaking of 2D kun, he had a good spotlight in this final episode. This show's supernatural element is damn strange. Somehow, Ghost Banri and Ghost Linda hook up. It was so weird. That doesn't help fans who support Linda x Banri. No, it makes the hole deeper.

You know me I was a fan of that route. I don't mind Koko x Banri. It was inevitable since the OP and ED song never feature any characters except Koko and Banri.

Regardless, it was a good ending.

@takashichea: Yeah it was weird, but what can you do, this is anime after all.

@LHWKnight:

I think they did the ghost thing just to satisfy the other fans. When you have love triangle themed shows, it tends to split into two factions. You can't help it. Harem shows dodge the bullet by making the main male hero choose no one in the end, like Tenchi.

Ending felt rushed and contrived.

Post by LHWKnight (2,725 posts) See mini bio Level 12

@takashichea: or they go the Harem rooute like Tenchi, Kojo, Issei and some others have gone.

@hitsusatsu11: while maybe a little rushed, I'm not so sure contrived.

@LHWKnight: How does ghost Banri x Linda interaction make any sense?

J.C. Staff animated another great ending. I'm glad it didn't have the feel of a light tragedy.

i guess oka-chan will be alone now.....

@phantomrant:

Oka chan might have 2D kun, but the two never really exhibited much interest in each other. Yeah, she could be alone.

@LHWKnight:

I haven't seen a lot of romance shows especially ones with love triangles. I seen a lot of harem and Shonen shows in my days when I think about all the shows I have watched.

There is a pattern I seen. I could be wrong here. With Love Triangle shows, you have to pick someone. Harem shows - hell, you can pick or don't pick. Nowadays, the newer harem shows have the main guy have a strong interest in one girl above the rest (Aesthetica, Campione, Unbreakable Machine Dolls (not sure about this one), Strike the Blood)

@hitsusatsu11:

The only reason I come up with for Ghost Linda x Banri was to satisfy the Linda x Banri fans. Otherwise, it made no sense out of context. I didn't understand why they show it.

Post by LHWKnight (2,725 posts) See mini bio Level 12

@takashichea: Campione no they are all in a romantic relationship with him, Aesthica no he goes for all of them, Unbreakable machine doll I am not sure. With love triangles they will always choose one, or stretch it out.

By the way, you should watch shuffle (one of the greatest harems of all time that actually ends), man.

Harem shows nowadays either go the harem route, (Aesthetica, campione, strike the blood, DxD, sekirei) then there are harems like InfiniteS, Maken-ki, Nisekoi that just go on and on and on, without choosing anyone.

@LHWKnight:

Remember I don't read the light novels. For Aesthetica, I was referring to the anime. My memory might be bad. It didn't really felt much of a harem to me, personally. It was more about Miu and the girls didn't really express a lot of romantic interests in him. Akatsuki seems to only neutral with the other girls and caring for Miu more than the rest. I haven't seen Shuffle yet.

Oh yeah, I did forget about those harem shows. They also probably stretch it out. I guess there is the other half chooses while the other half stalls or don't choose at all.
