@Supreme Marvel:

Golden Time Ep. 1 Eyecatch
Golden Time Ep. 1 Eyecatch

I was skimming to get the eyecatch that someone tipped me on. I got curious and ended up watching the first episode. Koko reminds me of Erica from Campione, well her looks. It's interesting to see where it goes. Is Tada going after Koko (Mitsuo's childhoodfriend), Oka, or Nana?

@takashichea:

I'm not sure who am shipping yet. Although in looks wise, I do like Koko. Then again, I'd rather him not go after his new friends (ex)girlfriend. Seems a douche move.

Also, I saw the genre of this show. In it, it said 'supernatural'. I'f not seen anything supernatural in it.

@Supreme Marvel:

I don't think Mitsuo won't mind since he really tries to avoid her. I changed it when I saw it. I don't see anything supernatural, but then again, the cliffhanger on episode 1 left me curious. He got ran over by a motorcycle. Makes me wonder if he died like Dog & Scissor's main protagonist (not a spoiler).

@takashichea:

On the supernatural thing, it says it on Wiki too.

@Supreme Marvel:

come to think of it, I do see it on ANN and Wikipedia. Though, I dismissed because it didn't look like it. Then again, I never watch episode 2. If you do find out before me, go ahead and edit the wiki page.

@takashichea: Not watched ep 2 yet either. Will later and reveal if it is.

@Supreme Marvel:

Here's an official art work I found on Koko. Because I work on the Megami and Nyantype project with Daniel, I post these images in the The Ecchi Club.

Watched episode 2. I thought there was going a supernatural thing. The cold open made me curious. Mitsuo doesn't really know Koko despite being childhood friends. I feel bad for Koko. This series really is aiming for a relationship between Banri and Koko judging from the OP and ED songs.

I loved when Koko shows her pictures of Mitsuo and her. It went from cute to stalker in minutes.

@takashichea: At the end of the 3rd one it might have something supernaturalish.But then again their is a cult in it so that could count to for some.

Speaking of cults (cont. from our Future Diary discussion), we have one in Golden Time. I finished episode 3. Quite unusual to have the main hero with amnesia instead of the female supporting character.

@takashichea: Ya it was one of them i refered to in the other discussion.Or i think i thought i did .. dam fever atm has me forgetful atm..well an old age.Heck i even forgot to post a link to a game video i blog posted.

Just struck me as a runing element thing (trope maybe) in anime.Not that cults arent used in american tv or movies. But it seems to crop up far more in anime.This has been a great season.I only have one anime i droped an the rest are at least hanging in there.Tho i really dont see a Attack on Titan replacemnt. But it was mentied in Outbreak Company.

Also shows with poor to fair plots this season have became at least good at the 3rd episode .Just like this series thought the 3rd episode was great.Good use of animation in the story telling.in the van especially .Like how he noticed the pendants an started to feel off about it.How they distracted people till they got to their clut club house so to speek.

Many times a sceen like that in animation would just play out near as much animation.That little sceen they could have cut cost on animation but it was well animated i thought .

@Marshal Victory:

I think I caught up to you.

I just finished an episode, and it looks like we have the love problem.

I wished OP and ED song wouldn't spoiled me or hint that Koko Kaga will win what's the guy's name Tada's heart.

@takashichea: Ya see watching Case Closed an older detective tv shows really has helped me learn to avoid a shows teaser opening an end .Anime is the worse ofender of this .Thats why now i dont care what the show is i dont watch the opening an closing .Some shows i learn to gauge the end credits an then go to the little bit after the show which anime is good for that as well.Then stop before the next shows preview teaser.

It really made anime more enjoyable for me .Used to be bad for picking plots apart an knowing whats coming next in detective shows.Try hard now to not want a show to go one way but enjoy the surprise if it goes in difrent places.This show really takes some odd turns its hard to catagrise.Not a harem for sure .An love triangle could almost fit.Its got equal parts comedy an drama.

An the take on memory loss is a bit difrent to.His anguish over it is not what we normaly see.Its more about how others treat him .An he doesnt have a deep sence of regret on the loss.Which one of Tom Pinchuk grafic novels has a similar take on memeory loss.Id allmost say this is as close to a anime soap opera as i have watched in a long time.Not a typical slice of life at all.

It seems that episode 6 has split the fanbase a little. The sides being Banri is a prick for demanding Koko fall in love with him, and Banri isn't because he is all about letting your past go. Not sure which side I stand on yet.

I didn't like episode 6, but I understand Banri is very confused. He does not know what to choose: his old past with Linda or his new future with Koko.

I feel like there is a double standard in our culture. It's okay for a guy to be indecisive but not for a gal. I could be wrong.

So what are people thinking about the little we are seeing about Japanese legal system? As a law student that is my major original draw but the love quadrilateral and mix of tropes used in interesting ways is keeping me around.
