To-Do List

Here's a list of things we want to do in the wiki, why not help cross some of them off? Also feel free to make suggestions.

  • Create character pages.
  • Add images and summaries to episode pages.

Important Pages

When editing the wiki (particularly episode and volume pages) it's helpful to use this section as a reference guide.

When adding locations, don't forget to add parent locations. For example, when adding Japan to an episode or volume, Earth should also be added. Locations appearing in flashback sequences generally don't count.

Recurring Pages: ?

Objects should be specific rather than general, like Natsu's Scarf instead of just Scarf or Purgatory Armor instead of Plate Armor. General objects are being removed from the wiki.

Recurring Objects: ?

Common: Humans, Flashback,

Specific: None so far

The video also notes that Nagi Yanagi will perform the ending theme song. The anime will premiere on April 9.

The series will star Aoi Yuki as Kohina Hiruko, Yui Horie as Kisara Tendō, Yuko Kaida as Sumire Muroto, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Tina Sprout, and Aki Toyosaki as Seitenshi. The cast members join lead voice actors Yuuki Kaji as Rentarō Satomi, Rina Hidaka as Enju Aihara, and Rikiya Koyama as Kagetane Hiruko.

Masayuki Kojima (Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, The Piano Forest) is directing the anime at Kinema Citrus from scripts by Tatsuhiko Urahata (Saki Episode of Side A, Cardfight!! Vanguard). Chiho Umishima is designing the characters, while Shiro Sagisu (Bleach, Neon Genesis Evangelion) is composing the music. Yō Yamada (The Garden of Words, Penguindrum) is serving as sound director.

The story of Black Bullet revolves around the high-schooler Rentarō, a young man who has a superior, mysterious ability in an age of humans that fight against the Gastrea, a race of viral parasites. The story describes Rentarō's actions in a not too distant future.

Kanzaki began publishing the story under the Dengeki Bunko label with illustrations by Saki Ukai in July 2011, and ASCII Media WorkASCII Media Workss shipped the sixth volume of the light novel series in October.

This is like unbreakable machine doll fighting the ugly spiders from Nobunagun, but like 10x better or something.

I look forward to the next episode.

@Marshal Victory: @LHWKnight:

Reminds me of Unbreakable Machine Doll with your loli girl who is attached Rentaro, Yuki Kaji voiced main protagonist. That girl is like Yaya, horny and in love with her partner except Yaya isn't violent with her lover. Unlike the recent light novel series based anime series, this show and Magical Warfare's pilot episode does a good amount of action and exposition without being boring or confusing with its terminology.

Pretty good so far.

I've noticed this season in general has a heavier focus on action than the winter season that just ended.

One of the new animé I'm interested in. Its on my list with others. I've just watched it now. Enjoyed it.

@takashichea: @LHWKnight: Eh the Unbreakable Machine part is cause she has Yaya like afection tword him. Would not say this is better. Would say its good to great or awesome for different reasons.

@Supreme Marvel: Tho it uses tropes it does so well. It seems smartly wrote an has the style an surprise many shows lack this season. I will amend my comparison to The Thing ( 1984 version ) with anime an super hero tropes. The attack on Titen vibe came from the opening music an the walled like city.

2nd episode was as good as the 1st. Very stylish an plot is moving right along at break neck speeds. Our villian tho reminds me alot of Edward Conans fathers ( Yusaku Kudo ) alter ego for his novels Night Baron in Detective Conan. Also oddly enuff the voice actor sounds like the guy who became the voice of Kogoro Mouri from the same show.

@Marshal Victory:

Ep 2 was nice - a bit dark and fond moments of revealing the relationships between Rentaro and his loli partner. Contrasts how the masked man used his daughters and the other soldiers perceive their cursed children partners as tools. There is some unfortunate implications since only cursed children can be girls and they're tools. Still doesn't make sense why women are only giving birth to female children. Viruses don't mess with X and Y chromosomes, determining sex, or killing the male fetus. It's a dumb excuse to make the cursed children female in this story. Being a former science major, it still bothers me.

@takashichea: Nor would a virus cause some one to gain mass like that guy who became a spider. But they kinda lay it out how its a genetic virus an does things to cells thats not normal. It still reminds me of ...

With anime tropes , main bad gy reminds me kind of from Detective Conan. But its all done with style .An the intro reminds me of Attack on Titan.

@Marshal Victory:

This series remind me of Zatch Bell because it involves a team: a human and a non human partner who is mostly small.

Very good episode. I have to say that so far im enjoying this show the most this season.

episode 3 was great.

Series is hitting the right marks for me. Sure its a bit of borrowed here an there, but they are doing a great job with what they have. It still reminds me a bit of so many different anime. But feels not as predictable nor stolen as one would think.

Got our 1st hint on where the bad evolving things came from to.

Post by hitsusatsu11 (10,747 posts) See mini bio Level 20

Glad enju came back, great epp.

Post by takashichea (14,478 posts) See mini bio Level 25

It was a good episode, revealing more of Rentaro's past as well as good Loli battle. Sorry, I can't help but stress the loli part.

@Marshal Victory:

The evolution of the Gastrea and the whole evolution theme is pretty common. I can name a few examples:

  • Bleach with its Hollows
  • D. Gray-Man with its Akuma

However, the Gastrea's highest evolution seems more Armageddon than intelligent, humanoid beings.

@takashichea: 4th episode will kinda hinder that theory a bit.

In the 4th episode over all it was good but man the drama was to heavy handed.It almost to felt like a rushed series ender as well.Which its not but still things felt rushed.

So over all up to now its good but the flow is not smooth plot wise or pace.

Awesome episode, cant wait til next week.

Post by takashichea (14,478 posts) See mini bio Level 25

@Marshal Victory:

I felt the 4th stage Gastrea wasn't that menacing.

This is probably my most entertaining show in the season. I haven't seen a lot of shows with this much action. However, when anime series tend to do big fights too early like Kill la Kill, it simmers out at the end.

Post by Marshal Victory (2,664 posts) See mini bio Level 14

@takashichea: What! You mean your not scared of space whale with tentacles ? Yeah me either. Just felt rushed . No Godzilla feel to that critter at all. Tho I was half expecting the arm being shot would get its own close up going into the stage 4.

I will agree with your taste that it is one of the more action an entertaining shows this season. For me its this show an The Irregular at a Magical High School even tho its not listed as action , and Chaika - The Coffin Princess. For top 3 action ( ish ) series this season.

Post by hitsusatsu11 (10,747 posts) See mini bio Level 20

@takashichea: Its my favorite so far. It, along with Blade and Soul, Chaika, and Irregular at a magical hs have all been pretty good in the action dept. As the weeks role on I excpect DAL and jojo to crabk up the action as well.
