I'm enjoying the series more and more. I remember seeing the list of new animé. Loved the cover page of this, watched the trailer and thought...YES...not another copy and paste animé. I enjoy how the show can be very intense, then break out of that with some funny moments from Sasha. Great show! Fully beyond my expectations.

@Sonata:

Yeah, I'm guilty of that. It was hard to lie even with the RIP grave stone.

This show is such a bastard. Making an ending like that.

Great episode again. Started off kinda sluggish, but had an epic twist the last few minutes.

Episode 8: LMAO it's like Evangelion all over again. Armin's plans, that was all well done. Finally less "omg Titans wtf do we do" and more actual strategy and execution. Hmm yeah so it looks like maybe my theory about human civilization splitting up a looooonnnngg time ago might be plausible. Whatever the story behind the Titans I hope it handles it well. Attack On Titan continues to appeal to just about any anime fan with it's bloody action and animation. Can't complain really, it just doesn't look like this anime is bothering to develop the characters, instead its focusing more on the Titans and world-building for now. All the soldiers at this point might as well be the same, with maybe 1 unique characteristic, or their parents died in a slightly different way or something.

So Titans are people who ate the Gum Gum Fruit (that explain a lot LOL!)

Ep. 9 was awesome, happy that the people didn't trust the guy

@Sonata:

On Anime News Network's encyclopedia section, the number of episodes is 25.

Unfortunately the manga is still in "questions" mode, as of the most recent chapter 45, although it's looking like 46 is gonna be a big answer chapter. With the pacing and episode count, and the fact that the anime is weekly while the manga is monthly, I'm a bit nervous how it's gonna be. If they decide to cliffhanger it and go for a second season, it'd have to be in a while to let manga get ahead a lot. It's not like FMAB where the manga was in clear endgame territory before the anime started airing.

Wit has done a pretty good job with it so far, production issues notwithstanding. But I think an anime-original ending could prove disastrous, and I'm not even talking about how they write it.

Also episode 9 introduced Hanji, so all is good so far. Hanji da best.

I've decided to start reading the manga.

Haha boy was I wrong. More questions than answers. But 46 has some great character interactions. Even the Hulk would be like "damn that kid should relax" in regards to Eren.

@Sonata:

That is so cool!

Check out Potato Girl

@Supreme Marvel:

Cool, I'm reading the manga alongside with the anime. How are you digging the art?

@rubberluffy:

Hanji Zoe was awesome. She is some wacky scientist.

I know it's not directed at me, but I love the art. I've seen a LOT of complaints about it, and sure, it does look very amateurish, especially in the beginning, but I think it helps it. It's a fucked up, weird world of horror, and the art helps convey that. Plus the Titan art and action scenes are amazing. A real good sense of movement/impacts.

@takashichea: I like it. I've ready past the animé, maybe a two episodes ahead. Might stop and read them after the animé episode is out.

@rubberluffy:

No worries, it's a discussion. I'm glad to keep the connections alive. I was going to comment on Mikasa's so called amnesiac child assassin on Tom's Watch and Learn. I don't agree with those guys.

Regarding the art, I seen those complaints. The art is unique because the facial expressions really make the manga come alive.

@Supreme Marvel:

It's an addicting manga. I actually read past the anime at one point. It was hard to resist the urge.

Yeah, she's not an amnesiac child assassin. She's a broken girl who overcompensated (maybe with an extra push...I'm looking at you, suspicious Dr. Jaeger) into a complete monster.

@rubberluffy:

Since I haven't read the manga past volume 3, does Dr. Jaeger or any of Mikasa's past had shown up. There could be a possibility when I read your comment on that W&L article. I forgot about that guy.
