Up to date. I enjoyed some humour the put in. The, am guessing English girl with a name like Lionhart, when she puts the Braun guy on his arse after putting Eren on his. Sasha is quite funny too.

I skip intros because the ruin things. When skipping it this time I clicked the wrong part and saw a ton or more people rising in them grappling equipment. Looks soooooo good. Can't wait for it.

@Supreme Marvel:

Yay! Awesome, we have more folks in the discussion thread. I can't wait for episode 5. Then again, it's going to be Hell on Earth with the flipping Titans. Wish Sasha and the gang stay alive. Don't kill the potato girl!

Wiki Updates: Already finished episode 4. I haven't started working on the characters. Been busy with school.

@takashichea: Yeah it shouts out a series for killing off characters.

Episode 4: Well things are starting to pick up pace. The rate at which almost everyone in the top 10 decided to follow Eren was kind of hilarious, but I didn't really expect much else. Just imagine the plot possibilities if Armin or some of the other guys decided to go to the Military Core instead of sticking with Eren and Mikasa. Then somehow later they reunite and share their stories about what happened, how life is like at the center as opposed to near the outside walls etc. Oh well, doesn't look like the series is really bothering too much about fleshing out life at the center of the walls.

Looks like it's focusing more on the ACKSHUN! Haha the peakaboo and wall-scaling at the end was pretty well-animated. And the forest training scene at the beginning was a nice contrast to the scene in the first episode where the Survey Group is facing an actual Titan. In this case Eren and the others are just facing dummies. Looking forward to see how they tackle the giant, red Titan next episode.

The plot of the next few episodes reminds me of Animorphs for some strange reason.

Lots of merchandising and hype for Attack of Titan

@rubberluffy:

Since you're up to speed with the manga, it appears that episode 6 will be about Mikasa's backstory. I read the manga alongside with the anime. That's my style. I look at Wikipedia's list of chapters to carefully navigate the manga to avoid spoilers. I'm looking right now, and I don't know what chapter Mikasa's story is.

Finished Episode 5's wiki page early. I have to finish the episode summaries in the weekends. Can't wait for Crunchyroll this time.

Flashback is partway into volume 2, starting at the end of chapter 5 and going through 6. They might rearrange it or cliffhanger it for the anime because there's almost a full chapter before the flashback starts.

The Titans are crazy powerful, I understand why humans have no chance against them. Also I still wondering how they build that giant wall

Can't wait for the next episode (I did love that bearded Titan, he look so nice)

Love it when he gives a cool motivational speech and then it is all hell on earth.

Raw for Chapter 45 of the manga is making the rounds, and I've heard it's pretty crazy. Bringing it up here because it might whip up asshole spoilers into a frenzy so anime-only people should probably be careful for like the next few days.

Had similar reaction.Threw a few "holy " in there an "no way"s an finished it off with a Deeee-amm! its like they only have some much good to go around in one season .An the rest of the bleh shows said hey were not usen our here Attack on Titian go ahead an use ours.

Also as warning to all be vary careful reading any coments on sites showing this. Alot of people for what ever reason want to spoil an slow donw the shows popularity it seems.Tho after 6 i have some ideas on how things are sorta.

I knew it! The Titans swatted them down like flies like it was nothing! The most interesting bits in episode 5 were when the teacher talked about the Titans, and when Armin was talking about exploring the world outside the walls. They didn't really explain much that I hadn't already guessed, but I'm glad that they are taking the time to lay this stuff out explicitly.

Seeing the Titans eating humans never seems to get old. And neither does the bloody mechanical web-swinging action.

Is it bad that I don't care if Eren actually dies? All of the characters so far have been pretty flat. Perhaps this is some sort of meta-commentary on how viewers typically search for a "heroic protagonist" in fictional worlds and stories. And by killing off Eren, the creators are actually trying to show that flat, archetypal characters only exist within the confines of some story. That when the walls of the world to which these characters belong are broken down, and when they enter the real world (with the Titans), they don't stand a chance.

If that is the case, then wow this anime could be going some DARK places. There have been hints of fatalism, talk about how useless it is to try and fight against the Titans. Are they just prolonging their inevitable defeat? Well then you have to wonder, how exactly is it fun to watch something inevitable unfold? Definitely much to consider, I guess part of the reason I enjoy seeing the Titans eat humans is precisely because the Titans are eating these flat, archetypal, almost stand-in human characters.

Edit: Also I guess it doesn't hurt that the animation is really great.

Here's a neat bit of fan art that was featured on Crunchyroll. The artist right now is getting a bit of attention because it looks so good.

Artist: Kouji Tajima

Mikasa - when she had her innocence
Mikasa - when she had her innocence

I was pretty shocked that Eren, our main hero of the show, just got eaten by a Titan. My mentality was that everyone but the main characters are not safe. I guess the show will revolve around either Armin or Mikasa.

In episode 6, I enjoyed it a lot. Mikasa's story paints how cruel the world is. To survive, you must win. The losers die. In a Titans infested world, the people who are safe are within the interior. Those parasites among the elites just get fat like cattle. The world is so screwed in this series. The episode is morbid. You have Armin on the verge of breaking down. Well, he is already over the edge. People are dying around him. I feel bad for Hannah who lost Franz.

Okay, anyone who has read the manga, tell me if Eren is actually dead in a PM. People might not fight the urge, if a spoiler box was up. I keep thinking he could be alive.
