What's the Title Refer To?

Now normally titles are easily understandable, Naruto is the name of its series protagonist, One Piece is a boy trying to obtain the One Piece treasure, Dragonball is about Dragonballs, etc.

So, I was wondering if anyone knew what Angel Sanctuary refers to? Is it a location in the series, a team, or just a completely random title that has no correlation to the series?

In some cases, a title has more to do with sounding cool than anything specific. I'm guessing Angel Sanctuary is one of those.

Although there ARE angels involved in the series. The "sanctuary" could be Setsuna and Sara's love, or something.

@aztek_the_lost: no its a place in heaven that near the end of the series the main charter goes to edan which is also known as angel sanctary
