Given the emotion of the previous episode, the alternate opening for this

You remember everything I said for the previous episode, right? About how this show plays with my emotions like DeSean Jackson plays with touchdowns? That does effing double in this episode. The wonderful opening remix spins into a hilarious sight gag, the tragedy of episode 3 becomes the comedic relief of episode 4. The new character both gets on my nerves and melts my heart. In short, this show confuses me, and I love it.   

A bit of personal stake in this episode; I played baseball for 13 years before life got in the way, So the idea of blowing the big game is one that stirs the big emotions inside. I wouldn't blame him for wanting to disappear. Accepting deadly medication... in that sort of state, i find his choice to be totally believable.  

 
Given the emotion of the previous episode, the alternate opening for this  day is sort of bitter-sweet. The song is great and up-beat, but then you get that little clip of the guitar... and then the singer hangs herself in what can only described as the most smooth thing a performing artist has ever done on stage. Angel Beats! gets my humor, and involves self-inflicted pain :P
 
That main character though… He’s still boring like rice. By far the most boring character in this increasingly-lively show. Why is he still reduced the quality of a background character? Why can’t Hinata be our main character? Or Yuri? Should I expect anything to change?

@AgentJ: Yui is great! They also use a different singer for her songs. (I'll admit that I thoroughly enjoyed her singles.) While Yui can be both loved and hated - well, I'll state why I ended up actually loving her in the end at a later time, aside from the music being one of my guilty pleasures last year. 
 
Also, I forget at what state our protagonist is at the point of the series, but I'll say that he does get his time for fleshing out and it's actually quite intriguing. They manage to tie together a lot of things which is probably why they try to put back developing his character until near the conclusion of the series.

Its interesting you point out the song, as I had forgotten to note the alternate opening for this episode. My original post has been edited to reflect that. I knew i was forgetting something!

@AgentJ: If you're interested in Yui's music (by LiSA, the other singer was Marina for prior Girls Dead Monster songs) and want to hear more, they have singles for every song she has aired with bonus songs. Not only that, but there is an entire compilation album entitled Keep the Beats! Apparently the Girls Dead Monster albums were actually able to compete against K-On's Houkago Tea Time's music for spots on the charts. 'xD

I think I probably know of it. Uses an evangelion character as its theme and domain? Yeah, 692............. Of course, not all of those were from that site, but quite a few were...

Is that file quality mumbo-jumbo? Cause I didn't catch a word of that :P

@AgentJ: Yeah, and by that I only mean that the music there is practically in the best quality you can find/listen to.

Huh, didn't know that. So have they upgraded the quality of the files over time? Maybe I should go back and re-download some songs I've had since FMA was making its original run...

Unfortunately they won't be going back through the old files already uploaded; however, everything else that will uploaded in the future will be in the better quality. For the news blurb they only stated "New songs will be in 320 kbps."
