Shun is a bronze Saint of the Andromeda constellation. He wears the Andromeda Cloth and wields the powerful Nebula Chain.
Origin
Shun is an orphan who had been cared for and protected by his older brother Ikki. Both he and Ikki were adopted along with 8 other orphans by Mistumasa Kido a wealthy Japanese aristocrat. The orphans were mercilessly trained and conditioned by their guardian until one day when they were sent around the world each tasked with becoming a Saint and returning with the fabled Bronze Cloth. Originally Shun was to be sent to the most hellish training ground of all Death Queen Island. However Ikki stepped forward to take Shun's place. The brothers were separated and years later reunited in Japan during the Galaxian Wars tournament.

Character Evolution
When we see Shun in the beginning, he looks weak and friendly. But as the series plays out we see more of his aggressive side and learn that he has courage and is just as brave as the other Zodiac Knights.
