Android 19 was created by Dr. Gero. Android 19 was a android capable of absorbing ki to make himself stronger. If he held his opponents long enough he could get all of their energy. Android 19 faced off against Goku. Goku had the upper hand in the battle, until he shot a energy blast and Android 19 absorbed it. Later on, Android 19 began to absorb Goku's energy, but was stopped by Vegeta. Then Android 19 began to fight Vegeta. Vegeta knocked Android 19 into the gournd, but Android 19 grabbed Vegeta by the hands and began to absorb his energy. Vegeta put his feet on his face and pushed until Android 19's hands came off. Android 19 was then no longer able to absorb energy. Vegeta blasted Android 19 with an energy blast, which killed him.

since 19 was made with the old modifications he had to absorb energy so he wouldn't lose energy very different from #17 and 18 who energy flows forever.
