This manga is based on the Quin Rose's otome game, Alice in the Country of Hearts. It's about Alice Liddel who was forced to play a game in the Country of Hearts when Peter White kidnapped her.

Overview

Basically, the manga revolves around Alice who got into Country of Hearts, and she has to interact with the characters in order to get out of the "game." There is a war among the Mafia, Amusement Park, and Hearts Castle with many characters playing their roles. Will Alice get back home, safely?

Alice in the Country of Hearts is written by Quin Rose and illustrated by Soumei Hoshino. Based off a visual novel game created by QuinRose. The Alice in the Country of Hearts manga series was first published around October 2007 in the Monthly Comic Avarus and stopped publishing in October 2010 with 30 chapters published. Mag Garden published 6 volumes for this series in July 2008 and ended in December 2010.

Alice in the Country of Hearts has a sequel called Joker no Kuni no Alice: Circus to Usotsuki Game which published in June 2011.

Publication History

The series was first published in Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Avarus in October 2007 and ended in October 2010 with 30 chapters. Mag Garden published its series in tankobon volumes starting in July 2008 and ended in December 2010. For the North American release, five volumes were published by Tokyopop since Tokyopop got into bankruptcy. Yen Press released 3 omnibuses.

Note: Volumes 2-5 have American publishing dates while Volume 1 has its Japanese publishing dates. (Have to fix it)

Characters

  • Alice Liddel - She's the main female lead of the series, and she has to play the game to get out of Country of Hearts. Most men fall in love with Alice much to her dismay. In the real world, she has a sister who is the perfect woman, and Alice truly admires and envies her sister.
  • Peter White - He's the prime minister of Country of Hearts and the one who kidnaps Alice.
  • Julius Monrey - He's the undertaker who fixes clocks that are the hearts of every citizen in the country.
  • Ace - He's a knight who serves Queen Vivaldi, and he tends to get lost easily.
  • Elliot March - Like Peter White, he has bunny ears, and he is Blood's wing man.
  • Blood Dupre - He is the Mad Hatter version and the mafia boss who often picks fight with Mary Gowland.
  • Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum - The twins are guards of the Hatter Mansion.
  • Boris Airay - He is the Chesire Cat version, and he likes picking fights with people.
  • Mary Gowland - He's the owner of the Amusement Park territory, and he is a bad musician who hates Blood Dupre.
  • Queen Vivaldi - She is the queen of the Country of Hearts who has a quick temper.
  • Joker - He's a strange fellow.
  • Pierce Villiers - He fulfills the dormouse role, and he hides clocks from Ace and Julius.
  • Gray Ringmarc - He is Julius's friend.
  • Nightmare Gottschalk - He's incubus whose powers revolves around dreams, and he is the one who helped Peter White crossed into the real world to kidnap Alice.
