Akira is the star/co-host of the show Lucky Channel that appears the anime Lucky Star. A bright and sweet facade is often betrayed by the bitterness that comes from childhood stardom.
Akira Kogami is the junior high school super-idol who hosts the informational section "Lucky Channel" together with Minoru Shiraishi. She has short pink hair, golden eyes and is always wearing a winter school uniform.
Akira has a cute personality but when she gets irritated (often caused by Minoru) this bright persona is instantly shed to reveal a deep voiced, smoking, bunt out, violent entertainer always complaining about how she doesn't enough screen time. She can be quite cruel towards Minoru, often throwing all kinds of things in his face, particularly whenever he mentions that a girl in the Lucky Star cast is cute. She is also the main character in a manga called "Akira's Ambition".
