Moe-Girl Anime Forgets The Anime

Akikan!, the anime about empty soda cans who become hot girls, has an odd fanbase: it seems to appeal to a crowd who are enjoying it for the sheer lack of any actual redeeming qualities. This is especially true of its visuals, which are really pretty horrendously bad. You kind of feel like the show's per-episode budget is approximately the value of a shoelace.


Apparently in the most recent episode of the show, the producers decided to completely skip over that pesky animation piece and just film the voice actors talking. No, seriously, the entire episode is just the voice actors blathering to one another.

AHAHAHAH this seems really... interesting. I should check this out for the sole reason of voice actors talking to each other.

Well, think of it this way: if you're the kind of person who will watch an anime (even if just for the lulz) about soda cans who become hot girls and need people to exhale in their mouths in order to live, something tells me that taking the "animation" part out isn't going to change much.

Still, it is kinda funny.
