Airi is the mysterious girl in the Robotic;Notes series.

Origin

Airi was an AI that was based on a girl named Airi Yukifune, who was a friend of Kou Kimijima. Airi Yukifune and Kimijima were very close and had realtionship akin to a father and daughter. One day, the real Airi contracts a fatal and incurable disease. To save her life, Kimijima puts her in a cryostasis so that she may survive to the day when there would be a cure for her disease. To keep her memory alive till then, Kimijima also created the A.I. known as Airi.

Afterward, the Airi A.I. would spend the several years monitoring Kimijima's machine and trying to contact Kaito through his IROU.

Creation

Airi is created by 5pb, and she has no information regarding any inspiration used to create her. She first appears in Robotic;Notes visual novel game and makes her first anime debut in episode 1. Airi is voiced by Rie Kugimiya.

Evolution

Personality

In her normal state, Airi has a brother complex with Kaito. She does anything that he asks of her and likes to call him brother though the two are not related. She enjoys reporting the weather, and particularly likes snow.

In her Geji state, traces of her personality are removed for a A.I. without feelings. In this state she acts more like a database than a person.
