Afro Samurai Is Coming Back

Afro Samurai Resurrection was announced by Spike TV last summer.  The time for it to air is almost upon us.  Spike TV will air the two hour movie on Friday January 23, 2009 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and then again split into four episodes on Friday January 30 at 1:30 a.m. ET/PT.  Lucy Liu will be his new nemesis, Sio.  Mark Hamill will also be providing the voice of Sio's servant.

There will also be a video game released for the PS3 and 360 on January 27.  You can find screen shots and more information HERE.

If you don't have access to Spike TV, don't worry.  Afro Samurai Resurrection will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on February 3.

Looks wicked cool I plan on picking it up around Feb 3rd probably via online or Walmart.

There's something about the style and colors that just really works.  I bet it will look really sweet in HD.  Season 1 is out on Blu-ray.  I really should pick it up.
