Adam Blade

Adam Blade is an anime episode of NEEDLESS that was released on 07/02/2009

After a third World War, areas that come to be known as "black spots" form all over Japan. Walls are built around these areas to contain them-- but years later, they have come to be inhabited by those who were abandoned inside them. These people are known as the "Needless" and they have come to develop supernatural powers.

So there's this pharmaceutical company called Simeon that plays the role of the evil corporation in this story. And their leader who looks kinda like Dante from Devil May Cry is driving along in his limo when a few hundred rebels with guns pop out to kill him. However, a Needless woman stops all the bullets, then drops a giant rock on them. The rebels run away, only to get frozen in place by some kid and then burned to a crisp by some guy with a mechanical arm.

A green-haired boy named Cruz and his sister who apparently forgot to wear a shirt to the assassination today are stalked by some evil robot. Apparently, the sister turns out to be a Needless and sacrifices herself in a fiery explosion as Cruz tumbles down into the sewer. However, the robot follows him down. Just then, a mysterious priest (ADAM BLADE!) appears, helps Cruz out by pulling a grenade from a hollowed-out bible and shoving it into the robot's weapon arm.

Later, Adam Blade wakes up in the lab of Gido (kinda like Dr. Wily with blonde hair) and is all healed. Apparently, Cruz dragged him back after he destroyed the robot. Just as they get into some backstory, a young girl (Eve Neuschwanstein, or "Eve Neuschwanstein-sama" for short. It makes sense to her somehow.) runs over him on a motorbike and tries to embrace Adam Blade. Blade kicks her in the face instead. Back in the church, while Cruz talks about his people's plight against the evil Simeon, Eve calls him a useless pussy with a sister complex judging by the amount of time he spends crying over his sister. This causes Cruz to run away, when he is tracked down by an evil needless who uses some kind of special thread to tie him up.

The spider man threatens to kill him unless he reveals the location of the priest, but Cruz refuses. Luckily, the rest of the crew show up, a fight scene happens, attacks are called. Eve reveals her doppleganger ability, and Blade reveals his Zero Fragment-granted ability to copy other peoples attacks. The heroes emerge victorious and the episode ends with the kid who looks kinda like Carl from BlazBlue swearing to hunt them down.
