Plot Summary

Opening Theme
Uragiri no Yūyake  ( 裏切りの夕焼け Sunset of Betrayal") by Theatre Brook
Walker, Erika, Kadota, and Saburo are trying to run down a mysterious black van in their own non-descript vehicle for kidnapping a friend of theirs. The episode jumps back in time a litle bit, where Kadota is explaining the whole situation to the viewer. He explains that everything started eight hours ago and would later be referred to as the Kaztano incident. While Kadota is at work and the others are doing their own thing, the three thugs from the first episode who attempted to kidnap Rio show up at a slum. Setton, Tara, and Nakara discuss in their chatroom how foreigners and run-aways have been disappearing lately for human trafficking and that once they are gone, they are never heard from again. The three thugs plan to do that as they work for the smuggling ring.
As the three ransack the immigrant den and debate who to find, they come across an Italian guy listening to music very loudly. He is Kaztano, an Italian immigrant who speaks choppy Japanese. He tries to negotiate with the three that he too is Japanese but people mistake him for a foreigner but they nab him anyway. Kaztano is able to get a message to Kadota and his group with the message "I broke a plate". Erika wonders if the kanji is supposed to read "I've been kidnapped" but they think nothing of it as they go to Russia Sushi. Kaztano, meanwhile, is able to defend himself and causes one of the kidnappers to spill chloroform all over the van.
At Russia Sushi, Mikado and Masaomi try to console Anri about the disappearance over her friend Mika. Unfortunately Mikado continues to joke around as he realizes he went a bit too far. Simon arrives with their meal and makes light hearted jokes about some people's sushi being made from human meat, upsetting Anri more. Mikado and Masaomi distract him as Kadota and his gang eat their meal as they will prepare to bring back something for Kaztano. When they arrive though, they find his place ransacked as they realize that he really was kidnapped. Saburo reacts especially hard as he was the closet to Kaztano. Kadota knows that the message was sent within the hour so there is still hope. They rush out to find him as Kaztano is able to convince the kidnappers to ditch their friend who dropped the chloroform as he has his cell phone on him. One of the other immigrants in the apartment block helps them out as he saw the van and its plate.
Kadota and his gang continue to look around Ikebukuro and he even makes a call to Shinra to ask Celty to look for the van as well. Celty tries to but the paper Shinra gave her was his shopping list as he ends up with the plate numbers. Kadota wonders if they'll ever find Kaztano again and wonders who would take someone as Erika and Walker note that he is talking out loud. Erika suggests to call Kaztano since someone might pick up. He does so as Izaya answers the phone and explains he found someone lying in the trash. He leaves abruptly since Shizuo begins to chase him down the road. They arrive where the kidnapper is and try to muscle information out of him. Since he's still unconscious, they steal his phone and trick the others into telling him where the meeting place is. After finding out, the celebrate their victory as the Dollars and beat up the kidnapper.
As they arrive to the meeting place, Kadota reflects on how he became friends with the group and how he also became a member of the Dollars as well through them. He also notes that for Saburo, Kaztano is important to him since he was able to get him front row tickets to a sold out concert to his favorite pop idol. They get to the van and are about to fight as the kidnappers notice Celty down the road. Not wanting a repeat of last time, stating they kidnapped an older guy to prevent this, free Kaztano and flee. Saburo gives chase as they grab one and lock him in the back of the van with Erika and Walker, who let him pick from a manga and will torture him based on whats in the book. The kidnapper quickly gives up his information.
It turns out that the human trafficking is done by Yagiri Pharmaceuticals, which is run by Namie Yagiri who personally oversees the human test subjects that come in. It is also shown that she has a head in a jar and is the older sister to Seiji. Kadota notes that it doesn't seem like the kind of place to do it but they know looks can be deceiving. They agree to get breakfast as Namie talks to Seiji about forwarding him some money for him and the girl who has scars around her neck.
Kadota narrates the episode to the audience.
