Avatar

An Avatar is a computer user's representation in the internet or other games. They can be cartoonish or realistic in appearance.

Bad Ass Fight Scene

A fight scene or epic battle that stands above the norm of what the series offers and goes down in history as one of the best combat encounters in the series. The perfect combination of epicness and animation.

Bathing Scene

Bathing Scenes, while occasionally meaningful to plot or character development, are generally excuses for fan service.

Betrayal

Betrayal is the act of treachery or a violation of a trust or allegiance. This can be to one's friends, country, or God.

Blackmail

A crime involving unjustified threats to gain or cause loss to another unless a demand is met.

Brain Burst

A secret game program which allows a person to make time appear to stand still in their surroundings by "accelerating" their brainwaves in the real world. It is a mystery as to who made this program but players are able to once reaching level 10.

Bullies and Bullying

A bully is a person who habitually badgers and intimidates smaller or weaker people.

Crossover

A concept where several characters from different, separate stories and series meet up.

Crying

What someone does when upset/sad. Sometimes people can also cry from sheer joy.

Decapitation

Dreams & Nightmares

The imaginary events that goes on in your head when you are asleep. In some anime's they can bring important messages or to haunt a person.

Duel

Prearranged fight with two people. It is used in order to settle a quarrel over a point of honor.

Flashback

Used frequently in Anime to either recap past events or provide a back story for a character, either their origin story or their off-screen training of new attack. Sometime and entire episode/chapter would be a entire flashback.

Hacker

Someone skilled with computers who is able to break into secure programs and alter them. A hacker's motives vary, some do it for malicious reasons, some for heroic ones, and others just for fun.

Humans

Humans are typically depicted as the dominant species of the planet Earth, and sometimes of other planets. Humans often mirror their real life counterparts in terms of abilities and intellect, while other times they can achieve superhuman feats.

Incarnate System

A Brain Burst technique that allows a Burst Linker to attain special abilities beyond the avatar's capabilities by slightly bending the properties of the accelerated world's environment to his/her will through mental conditioning.

Kendo

Kendo translates to "Way of the Sword". It is a sword competition using bamboo swords called a shinai. It is a popular martial arts practice in Japan.

Kings of Pure Color

The Kings of Pure Color are the most powerful players in the Accelerated World. All of them are level 9 Burst Linkers who have called a truce agreeing to not fight each other and rule different parts of the country.

Manga Iconography

Common visual conventions seen in manga and anime to convey emotions, often for comical effect.

Mixed Bathing

When Male and Female characters are usually forced to bathe together. This usually happens at hot springs.

Rivals

Rivals are competitor to someone. Unlike an enemy, rivals could have similar goals but disagree on the process.

Simulcast & Simulpub

The term generally used when anime or manga is broadcast or published -- usually on the internet -- in countries outside of Japan around the same time as it airs/releases in Japan, usually within one week or even within 24 hours.

Stalker

A anonymous follower and tab-keeper of another person or persons.

Training

Specialized strategies and methods of exercise used in various anime and manga series to develop characters and prepare them for performing in events.

Virtual Reality

Virtual reality is a realistic simulation of an environment, including 3-D graphics, by a computer system using interactive software and hardware.
