The newly-suited Tiger and Barnaby ("Bunny") Brooks Jr. try to find a way to stop a giant stone statue that has appeared out of nowhere to ravage the town. However, the duo has trouble working together. When Barnaby manages to get a foothold on the statue, Tiger's new grappling hook accidentally hits him in the back and yanks him off.
A series of flashbacks throughout the episode reveal a few things: like how Kaburagi first got inspired to become a superhero as a young kid discovering his NEXT powers by accident. Then more recently how he found his newer suit and the strangely quiet doctor who built it in Apollon's offices, and how he promised to take his daughter ice skating just before the statue popped up and his new company threatened to fire him if he didn't help Barnaby deal with it.
In the present, Tiger sees a little boy partially attached to the middle of the statue, and thinks he's another NEXT who somehow lost control of his powers. Barnaby manages to get him loose, but the boy uses his power to take control of another statue and escape, crashing into the ice rink where Kaburagi's daughter happens to be skating. Tiger is unable to get to her in time, but somehow Barnaby manages to pull her out before she gets crushed by the rubble.
Barnaby then turns to attack the boy, but Tiger instead tries to talk him down with a similar speech that Mr. Legend gave him as a little boy about the responsibility of a hero. The boy finally decides to go quietly, until it turns out that the skating rink's foundation was damaged from the attack and is about to fall onto the street below. The various superheroes in town try to prevent it from falling, but Tiger once again pleads with the boy to use his NEXT powers for good, until he decides to save everyone with his power.
