A Foul Star in the Sky

A historical drama set in the Bakumatsu era which occurs near the end of the Edo Period around the fall of the Tokugawa dynasty. The series follows a samurai named Akizuki Yojiro who has a mysterious power that makes him sensitive to the supernatural. By having this power, Yojiro thus gains the title "Eternal Assassin" and is destined to fight the holder of a powerful and ancient artifact of chaos known as the Head of the Conqueror. During his quest for the artifact he teams up with an acting troupe and together, with a conspiracy following them and a war going on around them, they search for the mysterious artifact.
