Shuji Niekawa reflects on his investigation of the strongest man in Ikebukuro as he recalls getting pummeled to death by Shizuo six months ago. He has since decided that it would be better to ask around about people that know Shizuo as opposed to asking the hot headed man personally about these things. His first stop is Russia Sushi where he talks with Simon and Dennis about what kind of man Shizuo is. Simon claims to be friends with Shizuo and how fighting is wrong no matter what. Shuji explains his story as Dennis hooks him up with Shiki, a member of the Yakuza. Shiki also tells Shuji that Shizuo is definitely the strongest in Ikebukuro but decides to send him to someone else who has known Shizuo the longest: Izaya.

At Izaya's office, Shuji explains how he is there to write an article and how people claim Shizuo is strong but Izaya is equally a force to be reckoned with. Izaya does admit that most people in Ikebukuro are strong but Shizuo has a way of standing out. As he wonders who sent Shuji to him, he sends him to someone who is a close friend of Shizuo. As he leaves, Izaya comments that he knows about the incident that happened six months ago and how his daughter, Haruna Niekawa, had to transfer schools because of something that happened. In any event, Shuji heads on out to Ikebukuro Park to meet with Izaya's contact.

Celty arrives soon after as she admits to being Shizuo's friend and how his temper is not something to be reckoned with. Shuji says how he writes for a magazine and he theorizes how it is Shizuo is able to pick up objects and use them as weapons. Celty knows of Shuji's magazine as she warns him not to do anything stupid. Shuji interviews a few more people but most of them cite the Yellow Scarves and the Dollars as the toughest people, the rumors about the Slasher being a member of the Dollars hits Shuji. He walks by where Anri's attack took place as he goes home. Before he can enter his house, he is stabbed in the back from behind.

The next day, Anri is attempting to go home until Nasujima approaches her once more, demanding to know if she is okay and if he can walk her home. Masaomi and Mikado free her up from his touch as she goes home with them. In the hospital, Shuji wakes up and leaves the place, claiming he has to look for someone. On the chatroom, the user Saika appears once more and claims that she wants to kill Shizuo, something Celty sees as she goes to his aid. Shuji, now possessed by the demon weapon, stalks Anri as she is stopped by police and told to go home immediately. She says that she will but she has a stop to make first. Shizuo and Celty wait around for the Slasher as Horada and his friends notice Celty and try to pick a fight with her. Instead, Shizuo intervenes and tries to talk through his anger. Since his face is covered, the Scarves don't know who he is until they realize he is wearing a bartenders outfit. Shizuo beats them to a pulp as they head out.

Kadota, Saburo, Erika, and Walker are cruising around town as they remember it is the same area where the latest attack took place. They notice someone walking by with a knife as they proceed to follow them. Anri arrives back at the crime scene until she hears Shuji behind her, pinned to the wall as he approaches her with a knife. Celty tries to get there but sees Kinnosuke approaching her as she takes another route. Kadota spots Shuji and orders Saburo to ram him with the van. Even though he goes flying, Shuji is able to get back up and swings his knife around. He sees Anri behind the group but notices Shizuo has arrives, professing a deep love as he goes in to attack.
