A Chance Encounter - Begegnung
The episode begins with a naked girl and wearing a helmet named Lucy escaping in a secret facility killing guards who come after her with vectors, invisible hands. Just then, Kurama orders the soldiers to shoot her. While killing them, Lucy gets shot in the head and falls into the ocean.
The next day, two cousins Kouta and Yuka are reunited for the first time. It turns out that they knew each other since they were kids, but lost touch for some time. The two decided to go to the beach where Kouta has remembered that it is the last place to be with his sister. Just then, they encounter the same girl who escaped from a facility, but she's different as she is scared and can only say, "nyu".
Kouta and Yuka take her into Kouta's new house. They decided to call the girl, Nyu, because she can only say that. Nyu acts like an animal than human as she cannot do things on her own.
They then make rice balls for lunch. Nyuu is trying to eat it, but doesn’t know how. So, Kouta feeds it to her, trying to show her how they're supposed to be eaten. In the secret facility, Kurama instructed Bando, a mercenary, to get Lucy back into the facility.
Back at Kouta's house, Nyu accidentally breaks the shell that Kouta has and the latter orders her out of his house for it. Yuka tells him that she thought that the shell was something bad from how he was looking at it and that Nyu is just trying to cheer him up.
Meanwhile, Bando is on a plane heading to the city. He tells the other soldiers that he never imagined that he'd be sent to shoot a minor. He says that the times are getting better. Bando soon looses patients and opens the door asking how long until they land.
