A Certain Magical Index
An unlucky boy named Kamijo Touma stumbles upon a nun hanging on the railing just outside of his apartment one day and finds out that he has an extraordinary power known as the "Imagine Breaker".
In a world where magic and science converge, Touma Kamijou is a student at Gakuen Toshi, a city dedicated to the development of mental abilities and super-powers from scientific exercises. The boy has no apparent talent and always fails his exams, both regular and mental. However, he has a power that the people testing psychic abilities cannot detect or classify: the ability to deny any kind of special ability with his right hand. A power called the "Imagine Breaker".
One day, however, his life becomes even more active than usual as he meets a nun of the Protestant Church of England, who is being chased by sorcerers. She calls herself "Index". Touma gradually discovers that she is more than meets the eye, since locked in her mind is the collection of magical texts and books banned by the Church: the "Index-Librorum-Prohibitorum".
