501st Joint Fighter Wing is the Strike Witch squadron that was formed from witches from nations across the world in order to face the Neuroi threat.

The team of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing(501st JFW), aka Strike Witches, are a group of young witches from the fanservice series Strike Witches created by Humikane Shimada. The series takes place in an alternate history version of pre-WWII, and all the members are named after real world pilots of the era. The members are for the most part the elite witches from their respected countries. There are a number for different squad of Strike Witches teams, but the 501st JFW are the front line units in this battle. The goal is to push back the invading hordes of the mysterious aliens called the Neuroi who have overtaken much of Europe.
