Hmmm.... I just learned something new!!!

Last year, in Long Beach, I saw the best cosplay ever:

@sora_thekey: You should go to Comic-Con sometime-- there's usually a Leia cosplay gathering. Nothing but women in a variety of Princess Leia outfits :)
(And yes, I know that's Amidala, but Leia is superior anyway.)

@gia: I go every year... and I have never seen this phenomenon! O.O

Puh! That costume is just wrong on so many levels. First Starfleet uniforms have solid colour schemes not ones with patterns like in her shirt. Two, she is obviously wearing a skirt and per Star Fleet regulations 1108B that is not permitted any longer. There where too many reports of people walking into the warp core while being distracted as ladies walked above them on the glass floors common to most engineering decks. And three. THE DAM COMBADGE IS ON THE WRONG SIDE! Unless of course she is from the Mirror Universe in which case it is acceptable. Lastly you can clearly see the outline of a nipple on her right breast and there for she is not wearing a Starfleet standard bra!
Sorry, i have watched over twenty seasons of Star Trek over the last month so i kind of lost control. Nerd rage is an ugly thing.
As for my favorite cosplay. I like me some Misty. I still have a crush on her from when i was a kid.

I do think that more Japanese take cosplay far more seriously then in the US. It's the level of the costumes and fine details.

Dude the guy in the crazy helmet and the claws is some amazing cosplay and is now one of my favourites.

The only time I've cosplayed was for Trick or Treating on Halloween.        :P

@crusader8463: Say whatever you'd like, but I'd let her live long and prosper... with me. And yeah, I think we all had a soft spot for misty at some point.

@John_Martone: Oh dont get me wrong, I got something she can Vulcan grip for awhile too.(I <3 puns). The problem with misty is that i never got over my Misty crush, and in this day and age that might get me in trouble. lol
