Well, AMV Hell had many-a winner. Can't name a favorite off the top of my head.

1. Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops+(made by a student for a school project, took some of the different animation from the game and paired it up with the song "Calling to the Night" by Natasha Farrow.
2. Bleach: Time of Dying (combining awesome elements of the one Bleach movie with the song "Time of Dying" by Three Days Grace)
3. Empty Walls: Elfen Lied(most of the fight scenes and deaths that take place in the anime Elfen Lied put to the music of Serj Tankian's Empty Walls)
4. Soul Eater AMV: You're Going Down (clips taken from Soul Eater and paired with the hit song "You're Going Down" by Sick Puppies)

I'm normally a pretty strong critic of AMVs, but there are some that I really enjoy. It's often annoying how frequently my favorites get removed from youtube. Mostly these are One Piece AMVs.
I thought it best to put them in Spoiler Tags just for the spacing on the page.

these are a few of my favourites
Y ‘all forgot about what might’ve been the first mainstream/official AMV by Ghostface Killah of the Wu-Tang Clan for his “Daytona 500” video which synced up with clips from Speed Racer well over a decade ago.
I just think of them has Anime Music Videos. That would be a alot of work to make to VHS tapes into one product.

Theirs one more I would like you to see, but it'a a Bible Black amv and it's really good, but it's so rated X it's not even funny. Hears the name of it if you want to see it. Go look for it on the internet.

Actually befora few years back my biggest hobby was to make AMVs
Obviously I am NOT good at making them, but they were very fun to make...
